it cost's a bit more than $50 to shipp overseas from emo...
i paid about $150 for me usp-1 to ship to Australia, so it should adequate a similar price when shipping it via dhl or fedex in europe..
look at your weight charges, before you say you get charged extortionate fees, as you pay that before it ever leaves emotiva.. though customs rates may vary pending on which country you're shipping it too

Cheers for heads up. I find Emotiva's shipping fares to Europe very fair but everyone* would benefit from Euro hub. Quite a lot of people can be put off by potential returns and servicing issues especially with pricier units like XMC-1. *Emotiva and Europeans

Anxiously waiting for an European branch. If it was already available I would have bought an UMC-1 as an intermediate solution.

Dear EU friends, Please be aware that we are working on this issue right now. I was just in Germany at the HiFi show and will be returning in two weeks to hopefully complete our review and selection of a distribution partner for Emotiva win Europe.
Once it's official, we'll let you all know.
Thanks for your support, Big Dan

Thanks for posting here, Dan. Even if you don't close the deal soon, it's reassuring.

Great to hear about the euro branch, would be a lot easier to order without all the hassle with customs and VAT etc. Hopefully cheaper too since shipping for XPA-5 right now would be over 25% of the price for me

Thanks for the update Dan, hope in two weeks the deal will be complete! I think you have to increase production if there is a European branch . There are a lot off people in Europe interested in Emotiva but not buying because off the import duties, shipping costs and shipping costs when guarantee is needed.

Hi all, First time poster (from France) Dan, I'll not be asking for ETAs, but can you tell us a little bit more what we can expect as far as price is concerned ? Most of your existing overseas clients cope with shipping costs and taxes only because the lack of a reseller between you and them makes it worth it for everybody. But a reseller bringing a 40% price increase would doom that. Any idea to keep that reasonable ? Thanks for your great brand !

As aquarius says: Give us in EU something - something to hope for - something to wait for - something to dream for Regards

Germany will work for me! Distance from Sweden to Germany is not that bad - and freight cost is also within reason Regards

I hope the legal stuff does not take too long. Well just start shipping from Rotterdam when the XMC-1 is ready for delivery .

Now I know why they are building a new Sea Port near Rotterdam. Link: www.maasvlakte2.com/en/index/. It is to have enough capacity for containerships of Emotiva coming from China. ;D

I don't think that a european branch is on the way, even because their direct sales option would no longer be in use and the final price of the items even with a branch would be higher than sending directly from the USA...
