* This Blu-ray won't play in my Samsung BD-UP5000 (not at all)! * It took 2 and 1/2 minutes for loading in my Panasonic DMP-BD55! * My Oppo BDP-83 also took longer than usual for loading. you should post pics of your set up(s) I've already been through that before; I have yet to learn how to download pictures from my camera into the computer and ...all that Jazz. Someday, I will. ...I got more than one setup. * But for me, more important than the setup, is the MUSIC people listen to.

Last night: "Bad Lieutenant - Port of Call New Orleans". A true Gem, a Masterpiece! Super Very Highly Recommended! ...With a great audio soundtrack too (with some great Blues). Wow you really liked Bad Lieutenant - PCNO huh? I have it right now Netflixed but was not expecting much, hopefully I'll be able to watch it sometime this week. The original Bad Lieutenant was a pretty f'ed up movie but I do love me some Harvey Kietel and I can see how Nicolas Cage would do well with similar material.

Watched Deliverance yesterday for the first time. The picture was ok for how old the film is but it had some bad elements like dead people moving and some parts of the movie just looked horrible. When John Voight climbs the gorge on my blu it was getting dark and it made the picture turn blue and washed out like it was part of the crazy effects at the end of 2001.

When I was still young at school, I worked as a projectionist (1973-75), and "Deliverance" (1972) was one of those first movies I installed the reels on the projector and adjust the focus. ...All by myself. And I also worked in a Hall Theater as an Audio/Light assistant operator for international mega stars. ...I talk to all of them (Charles Aznavour, Gilbert Becaud, Nana Mouskouri, famous Quebec French singers and actors, etc.). I did also some acting myself (theater), plus some oratorical speeches, composed all by me and all memorized (up to fifteen minutes long without a single fault or hesitation). I was top not only from my class but the entire school, including students four grades higher than mine. I was even offered to teach Philosophy, which I graduated with top grades (100%). And all that while I was still a student (from about 14 to 18 years old). I started playing music at about age 12 (harmonica, steel flute and guitar). I bought my first guitar around that time with my own money, as I started to work at around age 9 or 10. The rest is pure history with over 2 million trees planted (around 2.5 millions), and a life full of Music and Arts (I studied Arts at college). Right now I'm here at the Lounge in this thread about 'Which Movie on Blu-ray did you just watch last night'. ...I just luv it, every minute of it!

I did rewatch "Bad Lieutenant - Port of Call New Orleans" last night on BD. * Nic Cage is simply hilarious in it; great performance, not to be missed. Herner Herzog is a director with a lot of potential, and has already proven himself. And this cool film once more prooves his talent with some great camera shots with very unusual angles. ...And it has some very interesting moments between the denouement of onscreen action with actor's interaction by interception of the progress in course; very cool stuff! The music by Mark Isham (one of my favorite composer) is great, and suits the film's mood perfectly. And there are some great Blues lines as well.

Absolutely amazing audio and video. I still have more setup work to do on the system and room. If it gets better than what I heard last night, I'll never get the grin off my face!!

^ I agree, it's a very nice disc. ...More on the Video side than the Audio one, for me anyway.

It was the wife's pick last night so we went with It's Complicated. Ok movie but if you've seen one Nancy Meyers movies you've seen them all. Video was nice but it could have been a little sharper textures weren't apparent like watching Gattaca

Video and audio on the imaginarium disc was good. I fell asleep, though, story not terribly engaging.
