Which 4K UHD-Bluray/Blu-ray did you just watch last night?

I really liked this one! So much I even bought the Alliance release. Alliance really hoses up so many BDs that its unreal in fact if memory serves I believe this disc is only 1080I.

As a side note the actor that played Paul Walker's son is the grandson of an old neighbor of mine.

^ Yup, it is indeed 1080i, but I also like this flick and it was only $10 for the Blu-ray.
But you won't notice a difference between 1080p & 1080i, unless you have a very big screen display.
And, most of the Music concerts on Blu-ray are all 1080i, with excellent picture and fine resolution, right?
Also, all my Blu-ray players, and even my receivers are doing a great job with 1080i material, without a single hiccup or any hint of wrongful 2:2 HD pull-down. All play them perfectly, which you cannot say the same for all video processors. Actually, only the very best VPs can do a proper job with this material. So for me there is no concern whatsoever.

I just got the "Firefly" TV series on BD a couple days ago, and it's a pretty darn good transfer. I also got the movie "Serenity" which is also stellar. The series was better of course, but the movie was pretty good. One of the all time underrated TV shows, that should have not been canceled IMO.

Ooops, It was fantastic! The film grain is evident, but that is a stylistic choice as the movie was made that way. Great sound, interesting story and a fun ride for the evening. Hey, its a Spielberg!!

...But half-way through I switched to "The English Patient". ...A much better film.

"Die Mannequin", a DVD documentary on this Rock-&-Roll band.

They are only three of them; the bass player, the drummer, and her the lead guitar player, singer and songwriter. She's Canadian, from Toronto I believe, and she's the real deal!
I think the other member died, not sure how.

But their music is very young, heavy, drugs influenced, and simply raw.

Yesterday I went to my local video store to rent the latest movie (Blu-ray) from Terry Gilliam, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus".
...But it was not available (copies were all gone!).
Then I checked for "Crazy Heart", all gone too!

So I just gave up and without thinking I grabbed the Blu-ray of "Punisher: War Zone", mainly for the Audio (DTS-HD MA 7.1).
...That was a big mistake!

Guess which Blu-ray I'll be watching soon tonight? ...And as a FREE rental too! ...Went back to my video store earlier today.
And NO, it's not either 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' or Crazy Heart' (all copies were still out).

By the way, I got the BD of "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" now on reservation (automatic call).
