Thoroughly implausible, but an interesting story with some good plot twists.

I agree, that's a great movie. Hope you're also able to find the next two movies in this trilogy. I wonder what the US remade version will be like.

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". ...Excellent! ...Highly Recommended. Just saw the sequel, "The Girl That Played With Fire" at the theater this week. Can't wait for part 3. Both films are outstanding. ;D

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". ...Excellent! ...Highly Recommended. Is this film only available with subtitles, or is there an english version? I want to watch it, but they GF hates subtitles, she is lucky to stay awake through an entire movie to begin with!

It comes in Swedish w/ English subtitles OR English over dub. Follows the book closely and is quite good. Author wrote a three book series...then he up and died. Apparently Hollywood is quickly making a...well, "Hollywood version". They'll screw it up.

I watched Jason and the Argonauts last night. I had watched this movie years ago on television, but it was nice to see it on a big screen in High Definition. The stop motion capture creatures look a little silly and they were not nearly as good at Choreographing the fighting sequences back in the day. Overall I enjoyed the film and me and my girlfriend had a few laughs during the harpy sequence.

We watched Shutter Island last night. We had seen it at the cinema so didn't know how well it would hold up as a re-watch as we would already be aware of the "twist," but it was very tense and enjoyable and something about it seemed more disturbing at home than on the big screen. A fine film, and fine to re-watch.

Watched Appleseed II and Green Zone last night. Both good movies depending on your taste. Two nights ago I re-watched Ninja Assassin. That was ok but I struggled with the euro/japanese angle.

My take was a bit different: www.hometheaterhifi.com/media-music-movies-etc/43-movie-reviews/886-home-theater-movie-renters-guide-august-2010.html?start=4...and you wouldn't have found the harpy sequence funny if you had married one! My review of "Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" will be up later today. SPOILER ALERT:The Cyclops steals the show!!

I have to agree with your take on the skeletons, that part I found was particularly well done, I even found myself ducking and dodging in my seat! ;D

Like jmilton7043 just mentioned before, it has an English (dubbed) Dolby Digital 5.0 audio soundtrack, in addition to the original Swedish DD 5.1 one.

I really enjoyed Green zone also, the GF passed out somehow. How she can fall asleep with all the gun shots and explosions going on is beyond me! So did you guys watch "The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo" with subtitles, or the english audio track, and is the dubbed track close to the original?

First in English so I can concentrate on the picture...then with subtitles. Once I have the story and dialog, I go with subtitles to see it from its original perspective. Besides, Swedish is cool...my favorite candy is Swedish fish!

Original Swedish language with English subtitles for me. ...I always go for the original language. I hate dubs, can't stand those!
