Well, if you like Eva Greene... naked as a Jay-bird then this is definitely your movie. If you're not into soft-core nudity/porn (this was the NC-17 version) then this may not be the film for you. If all the scenes involving nudity/sex were alluded to off screen (i.e. not shown but implied) this would be about a 45 minute movie.
I for one liked it very much!

It may be just me but I found blade runner to be almost unwatchable, as I can't stay awake during it lol. Right now I'm watching the "sons of anarchy" season 2 and it's a great but painful show

It may be just me but I found blade runner to be almost unwatchable, as I can't stay awake during it lol. Right now I'm watching the "sons of anarchy" season 2 and it's a great but painful show Bade Runner is one of those "thinking" Sci-Fi films (which is why Star Trek: The Motion Picture didn't do as well or as fondly remembered as The Wrath of Khan). It was too lofty in it's goals which is why they had to add the narration to it in post production so as people watching it had something to go on. I agree that it's not everyone's cup of tea: I know several people who share your thoughts on it. I even find myself doing other things while watching it (sometimes) as opposed to being fully into it. BTW, this is not meant as a slam to anyone who does not care for the film. Just as there's a difference between those that would rather have a fine wine, a fine whiskey or a fine beer it doesn't mean that one is less or more than the others.

Last night: * Bad flick, but the killer in it is totally merciless, and straight to the point, with his knife! ...eeek!

Book of Blood, My Bloody Valentine, Unborn, Night Train, Prom Night, Dead Snow, Hostel Part II - Bob you have a taste for the horror genre I take it - but it's hard to find a good one. I think you end up watching a lot of bad movies. (But at least they're Blu-Ray's)

Book of Blood, My Bloody Valentine, Unborn, Night Train, Prom Night, Dead Snow, Hostel Part II - Bob you have a taste for the horror genre I take it - but it's hard to find a good one. I think you end up watching a lot of bad movies. (But at least they're Blu-Ray's) Moov, you have a good sense of observation. * But here's the reason why (because the Horror genre is not at all my particular forte): -> About a month ago or more, I purchased a lot of Blu-ray titles from closing video stores in my neighborhood (780 of them approximatively), and I paid only $3 a piece! Sooo, I'm just running through this genre for the last couple weeks or so. _____________________________________ But I am starting to shift for a different genre now, as last night I watched this: * This is more a preferred genre to me. This film is the first from that young lady director Courtney Hunt (her next one is called "Northline"), and it is realistic in its execution. The colors are true and not altered. The story happened between the borders from the Mohawk tribe, side of Quebec (from where I'm from and quite familiar with) and USA side. It is realistic and I totally relate to. Plus the music in it is one style of guitar that I play myself and that I like very much. I'm a musician, and I play Blues and various other styles too from Folk to Improvisation with a particular emphasis on harmonics. I experiment a lot with sounds from my various guitars (my acoustic ones are my favorites), and I invent my own tunings. I've been at it for over 40 years. I've played with some of the best street musicians in the past, and I used to have my own simile studio, with incredible setup surrounded by gigantic plants. ...A total beauty. And I also entertained some of the best music jams in my life in several houses that I used to rent in the mountains, by a lake or by the ocean. MUSIC is my life, always has been, and always will be. _____________________________ I am also very high on my path to self-consciouness in this world we live in. I am totally free from any material life. My fears are almost totally over. And the very few ones that remain I can deal with... I know nobody, or almost no one from my direct entourage of family and friends that are totally free in this world. The very few ones closed to me that are free to a certain extent are the ones that lost big time in their life (loved ones and money). Me, I lost it ALL. ...And the only thing that I now accumulate is SOUL, real soul from the deep abyss of all the unfortunate few... And that is Universal Love for the ones in real need. Without any condition whatsoever... PEACE is also super important in my life; but I don't have full control of my human emotions at any given time. It can strike still at the most unexpected moments... But the time that it can last is gettting shorter and shorter every single day that I'm breathing air from the trees of the forests. And the sky and the ocean are my source of inspiration. I relearn to love life again...

Last night: * I really enjoyed that one (good replay value too). ...And I luv the music in it. I think the Emo people here will truly like this flick. ...Ya baby, bring on more like this one! - The only thing that I don't like is the color palette alteration (yellowish, brownish cast). That, I hate! ...But then, this is New York, the city, in 1994. And even the ocean and the sky are totally altered; the blues are discarded in exchange for drab, dull colors! What the heck is wrong with people nowadays? Can't they not see the true colors of life? This is not a fantasy movie like the one from my avatar for crying out loud, it's about drugs, real life people and their mechanism, metabolism at adapting to life in the big apple... No wonder there are more suicides commited in the last 10 years or so by moviegoers! People working in the movie industry behind the computers and altering the colors are killing their own brothers and sisters! If only they knew what they are truly doing...
