Your assumption is absolutely correct.

* You don't have to check them all, just one of them will do (or 2), like Up and Toy Story 2 for example. That would take you only few short minutes, and I would appreciate so much!
=> Without adding any other audio mode, just bitstreaming the high res audio soundtrack (DTS-HD MA) from your BD player and let your PR-SC886 do the decoding.
- Then just tell me what you see in the front panel display of your pre/pro (the large letters),
plus also when you press the "Display" button on your remote (the larger letters again).
- Also if the two small rectangle boxes for the Back surround channels have the letters inside them (SBL & SBR), or perhaps it's only the one between those two that says SB.
- And finally if your two Back surround speakers (hopefully you have a 7.1 setup) are automatically activated or not.

You do that for me man, and I do big for you!

Last night:



* I enjoyed that one immensely! While watching it I just kept appreciating the great camera work, and the storyline, and the acting, and the picture quality, and the overall film experience...
I was simply entertained exactly the way it should be with a great film directed by a pro, Spike Lee.
And the movie soundtrack was exactly my type of music for this genre of film (War & Tribulations). And it was perfectly matched with the on-screen action, be it active or quiet; beautiful and enveloping music.
The audio quality is top notch, no doubt about that.

This film you can tell is the result from the hard labour of real pros, all across the board.

Highly Recommended.

The results of my exploration of the stats on the previously mentioned titles: "Bolt", "Toy Story 2", "Up" and "Wall-e".
All titles show up (on my 886 prepro) as "DTS-ES Matrix" - but display shows DTS-HDMSTR 5.1. The small bk surr boxes show nothing ... but sound does come from the back speakers automatically.
Out of curiousity I decided to put in my HD-DVD of "Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone" which is TrueHD EX (actually, from the label it sounded like it was True HD 5.1 and only the Dolby Digital + track was EX). But it came up as "DD TrueHDEX 5.1" - but no back surr boxes were filled in - there was sound from the backs automatically. So I discovered that the TrueHD in also Ex which I didn't know before.

I like how the GOP absolutely roasted his predecessor when he was campaigning (Bill Clinton) for smoking a joint in college then sends a recovering coke-head/alcoholic to run the country (with a massive cover up that was bought an paid for to keep it out of mainstream media at the time).

If you ever want to "blow your mind" look up W's grand-daddy, Prescott and his dealings with Hunt Oil, CIA, JFK, Richard Nixon and a bunch of other unsavory characters. There's no fire there but there's a lot of smoke. Bush-the-Greater also has some ties that don't want to see the light of day either.
