Last night I finally got around to view the first Alien in the 4 movie set. For an old film the HD transfer was very good. The audio was DTS-HD Master audio and was great my subs were shaking the room when the spaceship took off. If you are a fan of the series I recommend the Blu-ray. I got it from Amazon UK for $58 shipped.

I watched Batman "The Dark Knight", Underworld "Evolution" and Law Abiding Citizen all in Blue Ray.

Finally watched Sound of Music for the first time in my life. Yup, I've seen parts of it but never the whole thing. It only took 45 years but it was definitely worth it - loved the movie and the picture quality was incredibly good. The audio was great too, considering the age of the picture.  |

Last night I was tired, so I didn't want to put a great film, and then I didn't have the chance yet to see that one (cost me only $3 for the BD).  * Well, not only I fell asleep, but this flick totally sucks! (From what I've seen anyway...)  The director, Rob Zombie, is a real sick puppy! "Family is Forever", ya right! ...A real sick family. ~ "One of the most original and shocking entries in the series." - Tony Timpone, FANGORIA. ...Ya right, get a real life with a real job Tony! Why are sick people making those kind of sick movies??? ...Because they're sick! That's why! *** At least the original "Halloween" by John Carpenter is a real Classic. ...With the music score putting you on edge. And that alone is much more impactful than bad acting with terrible music and gratuitous violence of the most sicky of all. >>> Rob Zombie, I got some of his CDs at home. I ain't playing that crap no more for a very long time now! And if the guy was in front of me, I wouldn't mince my words on expressing my real opinion directly to him! ...And that, is what I gotta say right now! ;D P.S. What an extreme opposite from "The Sound of Music", as mentioned just above by Monku!  |

Well above and beyond watching Cars & How to Train your Dragon for the millionth time with my son:
Last night I broke out The Godfather Pt. 1 for the first time in 6 months.
God I love that movie
Oh and I finally broke down and bought Alice in Wonderland on BD & Crapatar on BD since the movie place were selling them off cheap. Maybe now I can finally make it through the final hour of Crapatar. Go Blue people!

Just picked up Daredevil on BD thise evening but don't have a BD player to play it on. It's the Director's Cut and I've hear that it was much better than the original release. Has anyone heard that before? Any comments?

It is more stitched around the corners, so it is indeed the prefered version. * I also have both versions on DVD, so I know them very well. => The thing I like most about this flick is the AUDIO! DTS-HD MA is just fine! |
