Last night: "The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian". ...Blu-ray of course.
Superb picture with a fabulous DTS-HD MA 7.1-channel audio soundtrack.

'Planet of the Apes' (2001). On BD of course.
Sucks! Poor video quality (extremely blurry and out of focus in several shots, plus other scenes just too dark), but great musical score by Danny Elfman. One of the worst from Tim Burton.

'Brothers'. Great flick about brothers (family brothers & war brothers). You gotta see it.

Patton. Great film, great score by Jerry Goldsmith. But one of the worst looking Blu-Ray's around. Originally filmed in 65mm it should have been spectacular, but they filtered the grain so thoroughly out of it that it looks like it was videotaped after it was projected off a piece of plastic.

Last night just watched the Special Features from the BD of 'Brothers'.
By the way, I saw the original one a while back.
And not only for me but also from the original writer's perspective (I forgot her name), we had exactly the same dilemma or question of human value; a man's choice about his brotherhood when facing life & death challenge (in the field & or at home). ...Very powerful message if you ask me. And I believe the only way to answer that question is by being put in real life situation; that will really decide of what kind of brother you truly are. See it, then we'll talk about it.

Check this out! I created this thread about Blu-ray Movies (Music Live Videos, etc.) that you just watched (last night), and this is a great thread, right on. Now, I don't want to be off topic, but I had to tell you this: Last night I didn't know which Blu-ray disc to put in my BD player, so instead, by pure instinct of the moment, I decided to put "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" Extended Edition on DVD. WOW! This movie looks and sounds so good that you'd never knew that it was the DVD version! And I love these three fantasy movies so much (TRotK being my favorite), that it's no wonder where my username's coming from. That's it folks, just my two cents.

We just finished The Hangover. I think we've seen it going on 10 times and still makes us laugh.

That's one I want to buy. For the LFE alone it is worth it.

That's one I want to buy. For the LFE alone it is worth it. Mark, "Star Trek" is worth it for overall Audio, LFE, Picture, Story Line, Acting, Music, ALL. Not a single drop of hesitation on that great Blu-ray title, buy with total confidence, or I will buy it back from you at the same price you paid for it. Sounds fair?

Last night I watched "Indiana Jones anf the Kindom of the Crystal Skull". I'm a sucker for this film. And the THX intro demo opening is the VERY TOP BEST of any others in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. I guaranty that your sub(s) will remember that one for the rest of its/their life. It is simply AMAZINGLY AWESOME! And I'm talking the Blu-ray disc here.
...Miss that, and you miss one of the most important piece of audio puzzle from our planet, Earth.

Last night I watched the African Queen and Emmanuelle two classics on blu-ray. The African Queen looked stunning for a film from 1951. If you are a fan of this movie you will not be disappointed.

How do those BD's compare to the DVD's? Worth it? I'm talking PQ and SQ, I don't care about extras.
