Should us customers be worried about our credit card information being stolen? This is almost certainly about Dann and not some unknown hacker. Dann would never do anything dishonest like compromise credit card information. I agree that I don't believe Dann would do anything with our Credit information. However if it has been compromised because a non Emotiva employee has access to it then it is the responsibility of Emotiva to inform those who have their information compromised as well as I am sure some credit card protocol is to be followed.

I talked with him on phone. He's pissed, but more upset than anything, I think. I highly doubt that he would do something like that.

I only asked because I know people do stupid things when they are upset and unemployed.
Just wondering... I'm not trying to stir the pot as this is a legitimate concern of mine.
Best of luck to him though. It's terrible to lose a job.

What is the issue? Emotiva hates us? Thinks we're a pain in the ass? Lies to us? Don't know about y'all but after buying 4 components and poised to buy another one if there is even an ounce of truth to those accusations I'm royally pissed

hikinokie Im sure they have bitched many times about people just as we have done the same about delays and such. It really shouldnt make a goddamn difference, if you think your car is made by a bunch of Good Catholic nuns then go on thinking it. Its a personal thing between them and if it didn't happen Dann wouldnt be feeling this way Im sure.

Should us customers be worried about our credit card information being stolen? negative. The information is as safe now as it was before. This particular situation has no impact in the integrity of the information.

Yeah, like Denon, Marantz, Yammy, etc give two flying you know what's about us lol. Every company is in it for the same thing...MONEY, and that's fine by me. I really wouldn't expect Emo to be any different.

We all go to work for the same reason. Some people happen to have jobs they love. I am not one of those people.

Yeah I hate my job too, sometimes I really hate it but would still take it personally if I lost it. Sometimes its a good thing though, forces you to go and find happiness..

This does put a sour taste in my mouth for Emofest this year.. I was really looking forward to it, but now will it be filled with all this drama? I certainly don't want that. Should have never joined the forum, just enjoyed the product... Damn.

I really wouldn't expect Emo to be any different. It sure made my day when Emotiva sent me a Christmas card... It was an unexpected, yet a pleasant surprise! Not many companies do that, nor do many want to take off their politically correct bs harness and start. I respect that about Emo, but like you don't expect it.

Here's whats NOT adding up about this weirdness: Proboards.com is a remotely hosted bulletin board system. Per their Wikipedia page, they have 71 servers that host about 3,000,000 bulletin boards. Therefore, there couldn't have been a PHYSICAL break-in that has to do with the message board, simply because the message board is stored at proboards.com, not on an Emotiva server. If this is correct, does it mean that Dan L is lying about what happened? Best regards, Ole Willy Tuv
