Basically you're wife doesn't want you to spend money so she hid it from you. This is the obvious answer. I wish that was the case I truely do , she telling me to positive as I'm a negative nelly at times. I am going to check my cd rack again and hoping I'll find it once and for all. When I do find I'm sending it to Emotiva HQ. FedEx overnight so I don't have to go through this again. Dan

Did you said it was in a envelope? Did you mail it out by accident? I hope you find it soon. After reading your thread I went to see if mine is still in my filing cabinet. . It was folded in half shaping the card sort of, it was in my book back or the cd rack from what I remember. Yeah I'm glad this thread is making folks look for their cards. Dan

Nah, it should either be in my book bag that I've only checked a billion times or my CD rack where I keep my hi Rez , and that's pushing it as it wold be easy to see sticking out as it was in a legal size envelope. I've check in there as well, I've also checked in my job office, and nothing. Unless i have been in a coma and some how changed the location and some how forgot it, then that would mean I'll find months from now, and not in days but I'm doubtful it would be found at all.
Thanks for all the encouraging words guys.
Dan

Hope like heck you find it! I know where it is,,,,,,,,,,,its in the LAST place you look!! Sorry about that! It just had to be said! I own a safe, and inside the safe is A lockbox, thats where I kept my card! Really! Truely! I have a strange feeling it's gone in some dumpster somewhere hopefully not, but that's what I keep thinking. My wife and I lost our engagement ring years ago, we couldn't figure out for month until it hit me that we had some repair folks redoing our bedroom window. I thoughts I had my eye on them but there was a time when I had to open the door for one of the workers, and then the other had to leave a short while after! Not saying that's what happened here, but I'm getting the same feeling that I'm never going to see the card again sad to say. Dan

Unless you moved in the meantime, it's still in there somewhere. You'll find it in the most unexpected place and time, if you're anything like me and the things I misplace. Worry not (unless you were getting ready to order tomorrow!). I really though it was in my CD rack, or in my book back that goes no where, in my closet.... I'm really puzzled as it could have been in just those two places... I'm chalking it up as odd as heck!

I can feel your pain, because I have been in such situations many times, and I do hope you find your card. You can't imagine the number of times I have kicked myself for losing such valuables as credit cards, car keys, home keys, checkbooks, and whatnot, only to find them again when I have given up looking. I hope that happens to you too. You only have to look for it in the right place, even though, I know that is easier said than done. In the meantime, don't be too hard on yourself! Thanks as my Wife makes it sound like I'm the only one in the planet that looses any thing. She purchased me a Tile for my keys, like that I can find them with a press of a button and you'll hear a chirp. She also became a backer for Wallie a smart wallet that will tell me its lost, nor left behind if I lose it or if some of the content such as a credit card is missing.. Etc, pretty cool, oh well it wouldn't make my 40% card! Aaaaarrrrtggggggggg.

Ouch, that hurts! Especially since as prices have risen,so has the value of the cards.I hope it is a temporary situation and it eventually pops up. Ouch in the worst way...I thought posting would make me feel better, not so sure now...the pain!

I've been looking for my 40% card for the last few days and will be spending the weekend looking for it, but what can I do beside looking as I'm bit exhausted turning my home apart, and getting on my wife and kids nerves. Heck I can't even stand myself , it's going to be a long weekend....
I called and spoke to the ladies at Emotiva, gave them the number as I have a picture of the back thinking it would have been a security tactic. Its looks like I'm royally screwed because it needs to be physical for the card to be valid...
I'm just venting, so sorry if I'm sounding like a donkey's rare end.
I'm if anyone is willing to sell me one, as I'll be having a fire sale to recoup a new one.
Cheers
Daniel

That XPS-1 Gen 2 sounds amazing, I know I've this before but I'll say it again. I own a Modwright 36.9? a 5K tube pre/pro and the XPS-1 sounds just as good, or rather no sound at all ;)Nothing but the purest unsaturated, unmolested goodness! The only reason I sold was I had no need with XMC-1 which sounds great, but not as good by a tiny smidge! And to think it's under 1K is unbelievable and all the features you get Dan

Talk about the 12th hour, not sure I'm the man to answer any of your question but hey, I'll take a stab. Never been a Sony fan, but this particular panel seems Sweet at its price point. I hear nothing but great this about Vizio, especially the P series. What a bad rap for your poor neighbor, hope the kids see the error of his ways. Also glad the story did end on you stealing your neighbor's wife heart, ? I Kidd. Dan

Will this update enable the unit to decode and reproduce "official" Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks or will it simply downmix and re-purpose non-Atmos or DTS:X tracks? It sounds as though it is the latter, not the former. If really the former, that would be great. No way in H.E double hockey sticks would pseudo Immersive sound track would fly around here. Its either the truth, or nothing.. Just saying! Dan

Not sure this was answered or even discussed, but how will Dirac work with the new channel configuration, or will Dirac take a back seat when these immersive tracks are engaged? Thanks Dan Good question. Do the other units with Atmos and x32 EQ all channels or just the mains? I'm thinking a new version of Dirac with 9 ch capability will be needed. (or a Unison path) So to Dan and company, how much to send my unit in for a full HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 upgrade along with the Atmos work? Both are an interest to me. ...and now Emotiva sees the new A-800 amplifiers fly off the shelves once available. (50x8 or 100x4) Well I got the idea for the question from Billmac over at AVS, but thought it's an interesting that begs to be answered sooner or later. Not sure how other units work with 13 plus channels, will need to go and read the Datasat page. Dan

So I recently acquired some of this lovely rough cut lumber. After the new saw I recently bought I figured I should cut something. Some walnut and maple end grain cutting boards approx. 11x14x1 1/2". Cherry and maple same size. Finished in mineral oil and beeswax. This was a bunch of fun. What a joy to make with a good saw! Gotta few more projects to complete, but this was a good start. Time to make some DIY diffuser

Seagate 8TB external drive. It plays very nice with the Oppo 103. I've had one or two of these in my Amazon Cart for some time, did you get it a little less than the usual going prices? Dan
