I think I am to the point of just having it in my stack, hell they could send me a empty chassis and I would be good with that. You sir should get unit number 1. Ok, one vote for me for the first XMC1, I am so cool with that and sorry if I bump someone off from the list

First of all, let me just say that I agree that Emotiva is free to do business however they see fit - in fact, Emotiva should absolutely do business how they see fit, rather that bending to the whim of random people on a forum. I'm minorly annoyed at the wait for the XMC, but I also realize that's mostly my own deal, and not Emotiva's. With that said, I want to address the following sentiment: ... at the end of the day Dan owes us nothing... I'm quoting Storm Angel here, but I don't really want to single out any one poster. I've seen several people post similar things in this and other threads. Dan (and any businessman/entity) owes his livelihood to us. We've made it possible for him to do what he (hopefully and reportedly) loves to do, and make a considerable amount of money doing it. Emotiva's products are only worth something if there are enough customers out there willing to buy them. Collectively we have spent millions with Emotiva, and hopefully will continue spending millions with Emotiva. Personally, I feel like it's been a pretty fair deal so far. I've given thousands of dollars to Emotiva, and they've given me products that I enjoy daily. It's a good equation for both parties. If they want to continue being profitable and stay in business, they owe it to the customers to keep up their end of the bargin. Emotiva hasn't let *me* down yet, but everyone makes that calculation individually. You make a good point.

Just a thought, lets say Emotiva made 100 units or so in May and shipped them to the first ones on waiting the waiting list. After 5 years on the waiting list is it likely that the next 2 to 3 months of waiting might cause additional bickering and complaining for the members that are further down the list.I can see the new threads now "Emotiva skipped me" "I was on the list first" or similar.I would stockpile the units before shipping any!

People on the lounge would never do that. What are you talking about?? ...now back to my (Root) beer.

That looks like a good time Mike! When do we start? I was really hoping that I would get to introduce myself to you all at Emofest. I guess we shall have to hang out on webcam, take shots, and chug beers.

Just remember... Nice pic. I'm Dutch so a good beer is always welcome. It's amazing what passes for beer these days. If you haven't already tried it I highly recommend Duvel. You can find it in specialty stores and occasionally at the grocery. Cheers!

Back in my college days, these were my favorite, when I could afford it: Always liked Grolsch. And Saint Pauli Girl, too.

Yeah, I really didn't think we'd end the month without some kind of update.

Yeah, I really didn't think we'd end the month without some kind of update. They could be recording the podcast now. Maybe wishful thinking on my part but... Dave.
