Logitech made an update (added the direct input "front button" commands). This is how I was able to get it to work... Within the activity, I set the XMC-1 to NOT change the input and once the activity was set, I then customized the activity. I added a 2 second delay and then added a command for the XMC-1 to issue the command to the correct "front button" input. Before having to run out to the office, I tested 1 activity that turns the system on from an "all off" state to watch DirecTV. Then I ran thru each input (total of 7 for me) to switch between audio / video and all of the switching, powering components on / off, as well as triggering my two amps worked properly. I'll go thru each activity from an "all off" state later today.

I'll have to try to add the device again tonight. Thanks for the heads-up.

Great! Thanks. I will re-do when I get home. I assume we just have to remove the XMC-1 from the Harmony list of components and then bring it back, and then go through the setup of inputs, etc.? Thanks again.

I left the original one in there and added the updated one. I then swapped them out. Once it worked, I deleted the UMC-1 and original XMC-1.

I would have been heavily snoozing around that time. I will reload tonight. Note that the input selection method must still be changed to use them to one's advantage.

I will reload and hope for the best. I noticed in the original files, unless I missed them, there were not buttons for menu and info, for example. I can add them manually, but these were odd omissions since they are used, at least my me, frequently.

I updated my Harmony one using the latest version of the XMC-1 in the logitech database w/o any issue. As Geebo pointed out, when updating the activities you still need to modify the input list for the XMC-1 since the input buttons do not show up in the default list. The only other change I made was to learn the Zone 2 commands (all other commands were present, though I have not yet tested them all).

Ok, so far so good for me... tested all inputs from an "all off" state as well as from when an input is active I was able to switch between all of mine. I updated the delay setting to 1 second and later tonight I will try to remove the delay all together. Sorry... not sure what Geebo is trying to indicate. Modify the input list? I edited each activity via Customize this Activity function. Bluray activity listed below as an example.

I have the Pro Control 24r (RTI) with the RF box so I can put some stuff out of site. I could put those hex codes into the Remote but It uses Xcell format. I had to get a newer set for my Oppo which looks like the below.
Key Hex Key Data Decimal Key Cmd Pronto TSU3000 Code Pronto Classic Hex Code POWER 1A 26 900A 006D 0000 0001 49B6 1AE5 0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94 INPUT 11 17 900A 006D 0000 0001 49B6 11EE 0000 006D 0022 0002 0157 00AC 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0689 0157 0056 0015 0E94

Basically, you must change the input method to direct if you want to keep it from using the scrolling method of getting to the desired input. To do that, you must also update the list of inputs and what command you want assigned to them in the Logotech software. If you are going to use the scrolling (default) method there is no need to do that.

Does harmony give you access to their Hex code list?

I am preparing my remote for the arrival of the XMC-1 so I don't have the XMC remote at hand. Any mods seem to require the original remote. I am using the online my harmony page to make adjustments. update: I think I have it figured, will have to wait for the XMC now to test. Heres hoping.

You can use the web interface to upload pronto hex codes. (At least for my Harmony One) members.harmonyremote.com/EasyZapper/ProcessWelcome/Welcome_Show.aspI updated all my activities today with the new remote codes from Logitech. Seems to work as expected. I renamed my old XMC-1 in my setup and added the new device using the Logitech database version. Re-set up all my activities using the new XMC-1 I just added. When everything was finished I deleted the old device. Works great!

I can not seem to open the Harmony file .ezhex when I do a search for something to open it I get one of the many Ads for program updates or speed up your computer. I may have to wait until Emo posts the Hex codes. I can drop them right into my Pro control program.

I have a harmony one which I set up last night.
Firing everything on using my tv/xmc works fine but when I switch to the Oppo input the xmc starts scrolling through the inputs until I choose the correct one manually. Go back to the tv input and no scrolling.
Anyone have a clue as to what I'm doing wrong?

You will have to go into the Harmony setup, choose devices and change the input selection method. Then you'll have to tell it what commands to apply to the 7 input buttons you'll be using. After that, you need to associate the inputs in the XMC with a button on the remote in the XMC setup.

Note that I'm using the Harmony remote software as opposed to My Harmony. When I tried using My Harmony I lost all my screen customization and learned commands. I gave them a call and they told me to stick with the older software. My confusion is that previous to the XMC, I told the harmony what input to use for a particular activity and it did just that. Are you saying with the XMC this is no longer the case?

My confusion is that previous to the XMC, I told the harmony what input to use for a particular activity and it did just that. Are you saying with the XMC this is no longer the case? You can have up to 7 direct input selection buttons assigned in the XMC not including the tuner. These correspond to the input buttons on the XMC remote. The two main methods of changing inputs are basically hitting "Next" until the proper input is reached. This is the default method used by Harmony for the XMC. The other method is the direct input method where you hit a button and the desired input is directly selected. You can do this with the Harmony but you must go into the software and change that method. I wrote the following procedure for my Harmony 900 before Harmony included the input buttons in the codes for the XMC, so the programmin section below is not required. This was using the old software and not MyHarmony.com. Let me know if you have any other question and I can go thru the procedure again with the new IR codes when I'm at home. Choose "Devices"
Select "Settings" for the XMC-1 device
Select "Adjust Inputs"
Select "Next"
Select "Method 2"
Select "Next"
On the next screen you can rename any of the inputs if desired and delete those you'll not use for now. You can keep any seven to match the Input buttons on the XMC remote. You can add inputs later so don't be afraid to remove any unused inputs. It will simplify things for you later. When done...
Select "Next"
Select "Learn"
You will be prompted to connect the remote to the computer and go through the learn process. Wait till the first of your inputs appears in the box. In my Harmony 900 I only kept HDMI 1, 2 and 3 for this test. The learn screen prompted me to teach Input HDMI 1 and when successful a prompt for Input HDMI 2 appeared followed by Input HDMI 3. I taught XMC Button 1 to HDMI 1, Button 2 to HDMI 2 and Input Button 3 to HDMI 3. After all are learned choose:
"Next"
Select "Done"
Select "Done" again
Update the remote.
Now when you set up an activity using the XMC you will be able to choose from the inputs you had just set up. In my case I had:
HDMI 1 HDMI 2 HDMI 3 to choose from.
All you need to do now is assign Input Button 1 of the XMC to HDMI 1 in the XMC setup screens and any others you want will also have to be assigned to a button. In my case above, I assigned HDMI 2 to Button 2 and HDMI 3 to Button 3. Now Input Button 1 is essentially HDMI 1, Input Button 2 is HDMI 2 etc.
