Since HD Radio happened to come up. I LOVE it. It is an absolute requirement for me in anything with a tuner. It is actually the #1 reason I would not make the UMC-1 my primary pre/pro. I can stream content of all sorts through PC's, etc. to digital out to whatever, but I choose not to purchase a separate, expensive HD tuner to listen to HD radio. The HD2 channels on many stations are relatively commercial-free and I get to listen to stuff I otherwise would not have heard. The fact that Onkyo is moving away from HD radio being an inclusive feature of all its mid-to-high end products is a complete shame. I'm not going to buy their stupid extra thingie. I'll just buy Denon - which I believe has a better overall tonal quality, is slightly more revealing in detailed highs, and has HD radio across the whole product line now.

I liked the fact that Onkyo was one of the only pre/pros to include an HD tuner. I was shocked to see that the newer Integras have switched to "HD Radio Ready".

But some Onkyo and Yamaha receiver's models (besides Denon) still have HD radio, right?

And according to my sources...

Yep , he use to own a card shop. He has them all filed in boxes and, checks their values all the time. He says this one is worth so much and, I always say if, you can find someone to buy it for that price. And, he thinks I'm fanatical about audio! Do you know where he checks these prices?, are there good websites? I've got a box of my dads old baseball cards, some have some pretty famous names on them but I don't know where to start on what they are worth. I'm not a collector. Thanks.

He uses a guide called Beckett and, they also have a web site Beckett.com . beta.beckett.com/When I was a kid I was a huge baseball/football card collector. Beckett was (and is) the industry standard as a pricing authority. One interesting thing, though, is that with the Internet came MUCH lower values. As people could look worldwide for a deal, cards came down in price. I still have a bunch of cards stashed away somewhere, but nothing fantastic. Some day I'd like to pass them on to some deserving childhood collector.

the downside to the z11 4 of the 11 channels can only use 50watts a piece, though if using an external amp you might get more than 50 watts per channel if the internal amps are selectable

They are only adding 'Ambiance' to the main sound from the Main speakers. You don't see Yamaha recommending to install huge speakers in the high four corners of your room now do you? Makes sense?
