It's halfway to October already and no news. Antsy isn't quite the right word. While I appreciate emofest is a great celebration of everything emotiva there are many of who just can't make this event. I live in London and have two emotiva products that have cost me $600 just in shipping and customs duty.
Travelling other to the US for a weekend just isn't on.
So while it's great to reward those who turn out please don't forget the rest of us.
Now, as it happens I hope to be visiting NY in med Nov. Hopefully I can time my visit to put up an XDA.

If you listen carefully. The podcast does not specifically state that they will implement a pre-order button this week. They simply said they would add a button very soon. Their definition of very soon good be this week or weeks from now.

We all know Dan and the gang must walk a fine line between announcing new products as promptly as possible to keep interest and enthusiasm high, yet also must spend the proper amount of time to develop and test these products before they hit the market.
Do you want quality gear that will do what it's supposed to do and last for many years or do you want something rushed to market that hasn't been thoroughly tested?
I'll wait with a smile. I'm not exactly in audio hell listening to my current Emo gear.
But if all that money is burning holes in your pockets, you can send it to me. I'll find something useful to do with it and even e-mail you pics! ;D

If the products are to be shipped in early November they would need to have been completed and on their way to the water by now. Unless Emo is Air-freighting but I can't see why they would. So either the units are on the way in which case why wouldn't you reopen the pre-order list since you've already started one. Or there's going to be a delay on the release. |

Unless something has happened in the last day or two, the XDA-1 will be shipping in October. Pre-orders were started during Emofest over the Labor Day weekend. The list will be open for all who are interested as soon as Rachel gets it posted on the Product Page. It is happening, be patient. ;D
