I'm keeping my 83ES for now or until the 95ES comes out, no stereo analog outs on the 93 : ( Djoel What do you mean Dan? Not even Multichannel Analog Out? I'm with ya, a player without Analog outputs is like an old lady dying from prehistoric aging! ;D Yes on the Multi outs, just that I've been seen a trend out dedicated analog L/R outs..If I have a SSP and would like to you the Multi's on that ( Yes I can be old Skool like that at times )and I usually like to have a 2 ch pre with HT bypass, I would like to use the L/R as well..Just like to keep my options open. I agree very purdy that's for sure, on the TH mags ads you can't even see the tray opening, very stealth looking..Btw, I love Oppo I've own the 780? 890?83, and now the 83es, and I love them all great stuff from great engineers , with awesome customer services. I don't quite understand Oppo's business model. As of right now and for the last month or so, they don't have a single model for sale. The store is empty. How many lost sales does that add up to and how can a company remain viable in today"s marketplace with that kind of record?

Hi, I totally agree with the sweet, prefessional look of 93 and the empty online store of Oppo for a while....I guess there must be a good business reason for them not to sell anything? Thank you for one of the posters here the other day that I know model 93 is coming... Forgive me to ask this question: is Oppo player really amazingly good that it worths every single penny? I budget $200 for a new blu-ray player as upgrade for this Holidays but now the Oppo 93 makes me to re-think what to buy.... Thanks.

No. Oppo is purposely letting the stock evaporate in anticipation of releasing the 93 before Christmas (possibly before Thanksgiving!) it may seem strange as a business model, but it makes perfect sense as they will not be saddled with hundreds of 83s after the launch of the 93.

No Pandora? What a piece of junk lol. I was honestly hoping for Pandora, but it's no biggie. The netflix will be nice, and the player looks friggin sexy. I can't wait for this one. Anybody have an opinion on HDMI vs analog for SACD on the Oppo with UMC-1? I would like to see the wi-fi play integrated with the video streaming. You have logitech with a wi-fi player, and blu-rays with video streaming but not both in one. I have a external Soundblaster dac that I attach to the UMC and use a USB to get Pandora but I am looking for the single product with solid quality. Three year warranty on the Marantz. I am awaiting the Marantz UD5005 which seems to spec right along with the Oppo 93. It has the 2Ch out and pretty much the same features but does not have the 7.1 out. This product is supposed to release in December. I am hoping that there are some updates to the manual that is online as it is pretty old now as the product has been delayed. Only one HDMI but the USB on the front is nice. us.marantz.com/Products/3222.asp#

I recall reading somewhere, just the other day, a post from an Oppo rep saying there's been some delays and not to expect the player until Q1 of 2011. But who knows.....

Also they must have made a killing selling their inners to the Super duper high end companies, the well has run dry for now. I'm sure they are not hurting one bit.

It can't possibly be that hard to design this into a one box unit.

I wonder about this, components running out or getting super expensive for these relatively small companies that are kicking the competition's butt. What are the chances that the big boys have some of the same suppliers and don't like being undercut?

this thing is going to sell like hot cakes.. Judging by the reaction over at AVS that will be the case. I'm even interest and I have no interest in 3D. Dave.
