I was looking at the Boxee Box for my media server solution, but it looks like this Oppo will take care of everthing. Looks like it will be a very nice player.

I wonder if it really will play mp3 music off of USB flash drives. If so Im selling my Pioneer elite and getting the UMC-1. Thats the only reason I got the elite. I like to use the usb drive for mp3's

I have sold my Oppo BDP83 and am waiting for the new 93.I have had all of OPPO players and they are like EMO as the price and sound and options are fantastic!!! Get ready as this one should be real good with the new processing chip and 2 HDMI con.

I just sold and shipped my BDP-83 as well,I had a region free chip installed and fetched $599.00 for it.I am all set to place my order.  This the BDP-93 will be my third Oppo player.I owned the DV-983H awesome picture and sound,The load time was a killer though.I then bought the BDP-83 awesome everything,I only sold it because I absolutely love the style of the BDP-93. |

I love my 83....but other than the 3D...is there really much of an upgrade here? Just looked at the specs briefly, but would you think the video processing is going to be that much better than the 83?? Audio proc seems to be no different.

It plays FLAC!
I hope it plays multichannel FLAC, this will be the beast.

This Blu-Ray player looks to match up well with your other new Onkyo equipment. I took a look at this player a few weeks ago as I'm looking for another blu-ray player for the bedroom set-up I'm working on, but I require SACD playback ability as my collection continues to grow, so I'm going to get the BDP-93 and move my BDP-83 to the bedroom. I gotta admit this hobby has been expensive for me this year. ;D |

No Pandora? What a piece of junk lol. I was honestly hoping for Pandora, but it's no biggie. The netflix will be nice, and the player looks friggin sexy. I can't wait for this one. Anybody have an opinion on HDMI vs analog for SACD on the Oppo with UMC-1?
