I never had an amp that has them..but I think they look so cool and classy. Honestly I hate the LED meters (I know they can be defeated).
I would gladly pay extra for an amp that has them. I would swap out my XPA-2 and XPA-3 tomorrow.
What say you forumites....?

After having just bought an XPA-5 and a pair of XPA-1s...please Emo...have some mercy on my wallet! Stop releasing more amps that I MUST own! ;D Seriously though, I think it would be super sweet to see some analog VU meters rocking!

I also love the look of analogue meters. I get my fix now from my squeezebox touch music streamers which have a digital implementation of an analogue VU meter on the LCD screen. One of a bunch of different ones you have a choice of.

Even a stand alone meter box with 2 or 3 or 5 or 7 big blue analog meters that accepts speaker level inputs.

I think the RPA-2 looks so slick with the meters.. How did they come to the conclusion that the current LED meters on the XPA-1 and XPA-2 would be better??

I agree. They should be standard fare on all mono and 2-ch. amps.

Yeah, LED meters are just too 80's for me. I keep'em all turned off. Analog meters are cool, LED meters are just cheezy.

It would be awesome to see an RPA-1/RPA-2 type Class H amplifier with big a$$ meters. I might actually consider selling my RPA-1 for such a beast.

Im sorry, but McIntosh,Onkyo and Emo VU meters look CHEESY, something out of the 70's. The only company who makes a good looking analog meter currently is Pass Labs, like the ones used on the XA and X series amps.
