Don't you think I'll be asking that tomorrow? Not only about the XMC-1, but also the ERS 212 and the XPR-7. ;D Now I have to bring notes with me.

Matt, At last year's EmoFest Lonnie told me the XSP-1 would be available in 6 to 8 weeks. Being the impatient person that I am, in mid October I called to place my order and Sarah said that there would be a slight delay but they would ship in time for Christmas... of course Christmas of which year wasn't specified and silly me assumed it would be in 2010. So here is your chance to make meeting all of us Fanboys a huge success. All you have to do is personally hand deliver the XSP-1 to us during this year's EmoFest weekend get together. ;D Don't forget I will be the first person in line -- hint, hint. In the mean time, lots of great photographs and complete, detailed specs will be much appreciated. Seriously, that is great news about the XSP-1. I am envious of you being able to see and play with it before my personal unit arrives. We will need a constant stream of reports about how "sweet" the XSP-1 sounds when exercising all of its features. You know... to help tame the savage beast until the XSP-1 arrives. Have fun and enjoy all the Emo toys, you lucky stiff. Look forward to meeting you at EmoFest. I will be the one drooling all over the XSP-1 prototype on display. ;D Drool all you want, just keep that wheel chair off my toes this year. ;D Actually RR, if you come down Sat night, let me know and we'll hit a local karaoke bar. :-).

Attended AXPONA NYC today and went immediately to the Emotiva rooms (2). It was very nice meeting Dan, Lonnie, Vincent, Chris, Nick, Jackie, Sarah and another young lady who's name escapes me after a very long day. I can now match faces with the voices on the other end of the phone. The XSP-1 "prototype" was playing in the "stereo room" in conjunction with an ERC-2, XDA-1, and a pair of ERT8.3s biamped with a pair of XDA-1s each. The system was making beautiful music, very transparent, very dynamic with excellent rhythm and pace. All for a total price less than the cost of many individual components being used in other rooms. ;D But no XMC in the "home theater room". But encouraging words from Chris and Lonnie. Russ

Brian I will be there for both days of EmoFest, so get yourself a pair of steel toed shoes. I can't guarantee the safety of your toes. ;D In the mean time, practice your dance steps. They just might save a sore toe or two. I have to warn you that my love of music does not carry over to my singing ability. When people want to clear out the party hanger-ons they just ask me to sing -- that clears the house double quick.

The words "4th quarter" have been floated.
I missed wideawake, he was arriving as I was getting on a train to make my family gathering. More later when I return home.

Chris indicated "XMC-1 probably first quarter next year" . "When everything is right" (Lonnie).

Just got back from NYC. I was to get there with a couple of friends who could not make it at last minute and that caused me to get delayed. I missed Eltwo, Animo and Nick. Emotiva had two rooms in one wing, one across the other. On the left was the two channel room with the XSP-1 and on the right was the theater room. I met Sarah in the two channel room. She's so cute and so sweet, she gave me an Emo T-shirt. Thanks, Sarah! The two channel room sounded very impressive and all the blue lights on the Emo equipment looked sublime. Sarah mentioned that Lonnie and Big Dan might be found in the theater room. As I stepped out into the hallway, I saw Lonnie talking to someone so I stood around waiting for their conversation to finish. If I got the gist of their conversation, it had something to do with Emo-Q. Meeting Lonnie was a great pleasure. I had a brief conversation with him. I did ask him about the XMC-1 and his response was as posted above by Eltwo. I can hardly wait! I went into the theater room to look for Big Dan. He was deep inside and it was too noisy to talk (in a good way, i.e. wonderful & engaging SQ) so I decided to visit some of the other vendors and to come back later. I went back two times but could not get the opportunity to shake Big Dan's hand. I guess that's good because the theater room seemed to always be full. Lots of people were showing interest in the Emo equipment. I sent 4 people to the Emo wing from various other rooms. Talking about the other vendors, Nick had told me, on the phone, that Legacy Audio and the Linkwitz Orions were worth visiting. He was right. I also had a brief conversation with Mr. Linkwitz himself. Fascinating person and very down to earth. Eggleston Works had the Andra III playing and these were wonderful to listen to. Just as I was thinking that the open baffle design is my favorite and no other designs quite cut it like the open baffle, I stumbled upon MBL. I was contemplating whether I should even bother going into the MBL room since their astro-pricing make all their products beyond my reach. I had already visited all the other vendors, except Meridian as I could not find their room, and was planning on leaving anyway so I decided to visit the MBL room for a few minutes. Big mistake!!! They had the $70K MK IIs playing. These speakers resolve music like nothing else I've ever heard. Oh, my God! I could not believe the quality of sound coming out of these speakers. If I had $70K, I would have bought these without a second thought. I'm convinced that conventional cone drivers just cannot resolve music properly much over 120 Hz. That's pretty much all I have to report. Sorry, no pics. My daughter took the only point and shoot we own to a vacation. Hopefully, Animo or Eltwo will post pics later.

Anybody here's game enough to steal those MBL MK II loudspeakers, so we can all have a listen to them after each member send them to the next? Ya baby! ;D ...Living on the edge is the only way to live!

The first person to listen to these will never willingly give them up. ;D You just can't stop listening to these speakers. I had to reluctantly pry myself up from my seat. My full bladder made that possible or else I would have sat there until they kicked me out.
