Sadly I think I will also have to look elsewhere now, 2012 just too long to wait for these two. Maybe emotiva will jump in here with something a little more official, but not looking good.

Last night, after I got back from the show, I did some critical listening on my OBs, while the memory of listening to various speakers was still fresh. With the exception of the MBLs, which are in a league of their own, my OBs are easily better than all the high priced speakers that I heard. I don't mean to sound arrogant but I'm so thrilled with this revelation that I had to share this with all my Emo buddies. Whom else can I share this with?

just saw a pair on the audiogon site for 20,000,older mbl 101e,but dam they are the coolest thing too look at,and the sound is incrediable!!

I wonder if this is the original packaging. My Emo 6.2 had cloth bags and not kitchen saran wrap.

I would have to say yes to the original packing,,seeing as how new they were going for 55,000 grand at the time of new,and if you see that the cover for them has its own spot and fits on the cross pieces of wood,,DAM THEY ARE SWEET!!! wish i had 20,000grand laying around,,wonder how they would sound hooked up too a couple of XPA-1 s?

I need to save up $140K for a 4.x HT implementation. MBL doesn't make subwoofers? Probably good that they don't or else I'd never get to purchase an all MBL speaker set. ;D

i saw there 7 ft subwoofer on there website,goes with there super uber mbl 101extreme,,there awsome too

You really don't need more than a pair of the !01's. They generate true all-enveloping omni-directional sound from those Radialstrahler transducers. And for HT, you should probably be looking at a set of the model 121's.

I had the pleasure of doing just that in 2006. My expectation for what is possible with an audio system was raised significantly by the experience. The closest thing to "live" in the room I have yet heard.

So true. At one point in the demo they were playing a solo drum track. If you were to bring someone into the room blindfolded, he/she would swear that there was a live drummer in the room! Someone even joked that they had a live drummer hidden at the back.

Yep. Plus the cost of the room they will need since my current listening space is likely too small. A person must set goals toward which to strive, no matter how unattainable they might seem.

I was in both rooms but I'm thinking I dropped it in the JVC/Thiel room , but yeah I was at the Avatar room looking for it, one of the guys with the Ada shirts had call my cell to see if it was around.
