That about sums it up,and i can only image what there 260,000 grand speakers sound like,,they are huge and was i awe when i looked at them on there website

I felt the same way,,it was very hard to leave that room i wanted to just sit in there all day Those were super cool, no matter where in the room one sat it was like you where in the sweet spot. Djoel Attachments:

The MDL's were excellent.......as was the Thiel setup and the 3D presentation. I was really happy and excited to finally meet Lonnie and Dan and Vince and the rest of the Emo folks. These are really nice, down to earth folks with a great enthusiasm for what they are doing. Very easy to talk to and got some great incite from both Lonnie and Dan. They have definitely got a customer (me) for life.
Had a great time and hope that these shows continue into the future.

Cant agree more with you cawgijoe,,i talked with lonnie and a couple of the others,they were all great informative and had a answer for all my questions,i also will be a customer for life

Love the Thiel SCS4T, JVC DLA-RS60 3D, Belles Mono's all around, sounded so smooth and unstrained. Joseph Audio set up was great as well, both rooms. The Egglestan Works was nice too, was that Mr. Linkwitz with the Orion-4 speakers?

The XSP-1 is sweet! Just thought I would let everyone know that it is currently scheduled to come in the beginning of the 4th quarter and will be priced at $899! I know that a lot of people have been anxiously waiting on that information. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!! Read this carefully! It says "...currently scheduled..." Means: can be changed without notice at any time, which would be in line with the development over the past 3 years of this product. And the XMC-1, the XPR-7 and the other 30 vapor-wave products that are said to be in the making but fail to ever become available. This is a real sad story... |

Emotiva is not the only manufacturer which has had products delayed for extended periods, have concept products modified from the original intent, and even on occasion, totally abandoned. The more serious problem that seems to constantly dogged Emo is their lack of timely communication. Case in point is that one attendee at Axpona recently stated that he was told that the XMC-1 has a change of the release date to the 1/Q of 2012. 3 months ago, we were told that the release would be towards the end of the 3/Q of 2011. I don't know if that change was decided while on the way to, and is co-incidental with Axpona. I don't want to make judgment prematurely, because there has been no official word from Emo. But, I don't think that the attendee just made that up! And, with the interests generated in this component on this very forum, I'd expect Emo to be especially sensitive with the timing regarding the release of this component. Hopefully, with the presence of Matt Wall on this forum, Emo will resolve this glaring lack of communication. |
