I know I won't be able to resist trying one out. My Parasound 2100 has been great, but I'm really curious with all those XLRs driving me nuts!!! Does anyone know if you run unbalanced out from a receiver to the HT Bypass, will it transfer the signal to the balanced output so I can take advantage of that - including the sub? I understand it won't be fully balanced, but I would rather run those kinds of cables...

Dang....I just bough the USP-1 last week.... I would of used my Sp10 MKII pre-amp until then if I knew...hate when that happens hoseroller All Emotiva gear comes with a 30-day trial period. If you really want the new XSP-1 you can return the USP-1 no questions asked. Depending on how soon the XSP-1 is released, you may even get a chance to compare the two units first hand before your evaluation period expires. Decisions, decisions... ;D There is no chance the XSP-1 will be out in the next few weeks. Of course that is just my guess, and based on nothing but my own, um psychic abilities. I will go now...

Boy that looks sweet. I have been a real happy camper with my USP-1 and thought I would give the XSP-1 a pass but seeing in the flesh so to speak has my mind going!
The XSP-1 will have the differential output that Lonnie is putting in all the new preamps?
Has a projected price been announced?
Is the pre-order list already filled up?
Thanks.

All I know is that income tax return is around the corner, me and the wife usually split it half way. We usually get close to 5 grand back. I wonder where my half will be going ? One of these and two XPA-1s sure would be nice !
No headphone jack ?
Add these to the ERC-1 for Christmas and I think I will be in the zone !

You are right in guessing that Lonnie is putting the differential output stage in this jewel, making the XDA-1, XSP-1 and the XMC-1 perfect companion pieces. Lonnie really knows how to keep his hands in my wallet. ;D ;D

Ctuna, The photos are probably of the prototype unit Emotiva was showing at Emofest. When we asked about the Headphone Jack, Big Dan said that they would take a look at lifting the headphone stage from the USP-1 to see if they could include it. I wouldn't count on it, but maybe they were able to slip it in. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Rachel
Thank you so much for the heads up.....The new XSP-1 looks incredible....Since I'm primarily a "analog" guy.....I can only assume there is a very capable phono stage in this unit, such as the USP-1. I'm gonna call EMO tomorrow and confirm some sort of release date, as I have a few issues with my USP-1 once arrived ( Vincent is currently working with me ), it might be in my best interest to just return it now and wait for this new gem....!!
Thank you kindly for the info......keep us posted

When I said next few weeks I meant the page will be up and the reserve button will be available - (sorry again, I was confused!). I do not know when we expect to start shipping them.
