I personally don't see the USP-1 going anywhere. It is a great value in the sub $500 preamp market.

The XSP is not replacing the USP. When the USP was originally announced, Emotiva said they were also bringing a higher quality pre-amp to market eventually. That would be the XSP. USP for the Ultra line and XSP for the Xtreme line...

That's the one thing that kinda bugs me about the UMC-1.

That is because there is NOT one on the prototype. ;D However, I am very happy to see that Lonnie just now confirmed that they would be putting one on the production versions. Hip, Hip, Hurray! Thank you, Lonnie... and Big Dan, too. I was hoping and praying ever since Emofest that you guys would be able to slip-stream the headphone circuit into the release model.  |
