You have to say pretty please. When you order. That usually works If that's all it takes I'll even add "with sugar on top!". ;D

As you can tell from our site, the product line is being updated and we are working on making every Emotiva product a market leader at their respective price points. We are also very intent on maintaining and expanding the idea of Emotiva as a complete line from end to end. We believe this is critical to the value and long term success of the company. Dan I have to say that I love the equipment that that Emotiva offers, For sure the best I have ever owned. When you say that you are expanding on the idea of Emotiva having a complete system end to end does this mean you are looking at producing a Blu-Ray player in the future ? Possible a music server too ?

Up until last week I thought I was happy with my HT system I knew I wanted to upgrade my sub down the road to something like the SVS but justifying the money was an issue. Now I see the X-ref 12, with the specs and Emo's great customer service and fair shipping prices to Canada it has me wondering ;D I will of course wait until I read some reviews, but I think I found my next upgrade.

I'm holding out for a stand-alone 600 watt or so sub amp with DSP and the ability to handle two channels with separate DSP simultaneously. I'd buy that today.

I am hoping some side by side of Ultra 12 and x-ref 12 can be demonstrated with someone from the forum doing the field report.

I will be honest with everyone here..(gulp) I don't really understand what the DSP thing does? I was reading on Emotiva's web page and I guess it has something to do with power reserves Could someone please explain what it does in detail for me please.

The DSP is like a dedicated subwoofer EQ.

I have decided to go with the X-REF 15 because "I know" that it will have at least the same features as the X-REF 12, but just a bigger driver and more powerful plate amp to move more air. I have read somewhere that the ERS line will have outboard amp Only the ERS-212 (dual cabinets) was to have the outboard amp, the ERS-112 was to have a plate amp.

Xref 15 it is then.

I have read somewhere that the ERS line will have outboard amp and I don't have the space for any more amps in my cabinet lest I'm going to have to run a dedicated air condition duct for the cabinet. The 15s will definitely have -3dB at 17Hz or 18Hz and be able to pump out over 102dB at that frequency with inaudible distortion. Just make a few of them with the basic black ash finish to keep the cost down. I don't see my components except through tinted glass. 10 coats of lacquer is not important to me. Did anyone noticed the signature change? Heaven comes to Boca! Thanx Dan. ;D ;D ;D How do you know this exactly? From logical deduction: Ultra-12: 300 wpc results in 22Hz bottom end. X-REF-12: 600 wpc results in 20Hz bottom end. X-REF-15: 1,000 wpc should easily provide flat response below 20Hz. I arbitrarily chose 17Hz or 18Hz. Do you think that I'm too conservative? When you are happy about something, don't be shy to celebrate or dream out loud! Feel free to stop by for a glass of merlot. ;D ;D ;D

Is the DSP and Room Correction in the ERS going to be much better then the Xref stuff? Any ideas?

The ERS Series or line is Emotiva's no holds bar reference line. This is going to be the best Emo has (not can) produce. Expect its features to be at least as good as, but realistically, more sophiscated than the X-REF Series. Whether or not all that extra sophistication will produce objective, audible (not measurable) differences will be the $million question. I am betting that the X-REF Line will provide the best mix of feature/price/performance. Hence, I'm gearing towards a complete X-REF system of pre/pro, p/amp, subs & mains. Hopefully, Emo should start coming out with their lines of X-REF merlot, cups, mugs, t-shirts, shorts, beach sandals, sunglasses, wallets and don't forget credit cards! ;D

The 10" sounds really good. Very smooth and no farting at high volumes. The control is very smooth and easy to adjust. The 12" is in another league. It was pounding my chest with bass. It kept getting louder and didn't budge 10"

Well I played around with everything at Emo headquarters. Cathy and Big Dan let us loose The first room we were in had a ERC-2, XDA-1, XSP-1, 4!!!! Yes I repeat 4 XPA-1's and the X-Ref towers. They were the 6.1's or .2's. Sorry I can't remember what Eric said. The XPA-1's were bi amping the towers. Next to each tower was a X-Ref 10 We listened to some local tunes first then some nirvana. The clarity was bone chilling. Bass response was very smooth and accurate. The second room was the theater. 7.1 setup I believe. UMC-1 using a UPA-7 for power. X-Ref 12's in this room Eric turned Transformers on. The bass was like nothing I've ever heard. It was like my chest was moving in and out lol. Hard to explain. But so much bass Sorry it's been a long day
