Then add the Martin Logan Dynamo sub for $150 at Audio Advisor, and you'd have a killer system for the money. which dynamo sub are you talking about? the dynamo 300? since its the cheap one they have on sale? or is there a different one?

I wanted to try out the bookshelf and amp combo instead. With that said which speaker would you choose to go with the mini amp, the nht superzero or the xrm 4.1? Eventually i will get a sub down the road.

ok so I have ordered the amp and the nht speakers have already been shipped. Should I order the xrm and compare both sets of speakers and then return one of them?

*bleep* me guys lol. I just bought a pair nht super zero 2.0 for $163 after tax. before I went back to check on my thread lol. do you guys think i should cancel my order and just order the emotiva set up? since i plan on buying that amp now. nht superzero 2.0 w/ mini amp or go with the emtoiva setup lol That is a great idea. That way you can compare the speakers against each other to see which one is a better fit for what you are wanting for your audio system. The XRM-4.1 looks to be very similar to the NHT Super Zero 2. I am not sure what your intended usage is nor the size of your listening room. Without this information it is difficult to advise you about the appropriateness of your choice of speaker or amp. The more details you provide, the better we will be able to offer you focused responses. Depending on your goals, the Emotiva XRM-6.1 may be a speaker you would wish to consider. Good luck with your audition.

I would say my bedroom is a regular sized bedroom shaped as a square LOL. these speakers will again be on my desk and maybe with in time or money wise I can possibly wall mount them. For me I just really want good clean, clear, and good sound. when it comes to bass I will only want a sub where it can fill up the low end in sounds.

The Martin Logan sub only has speaker level inputs and rca inputs. It does not have speaker level outputs. Not sure if this affects your decision, but just wanted to let you know.

the 4.1's are on clearance so you probably wont be able to send them back if you dont like them.

Have not really looked at the speaker online yet but what does that mean in regards to the amp and speakers? It just means it would be a little more difficult to hook up. Plus, you would have to use bare wire connections since the Dynamo only has spring/clip style connectors instead of screw type binding posts. So you couldn't use spades or bananas. Not a huge deal, but some people don't like that. I would also consider the BIC subs and some of the cheaper Polk subs. My Dad has a cheap 8" BIC and it actually sounds pretty darn good for the money.

hmm i didnt look there I just went straight to the speaker section and it doesnt say on that page. Hmm without knowing that they were clearance I actually ended up ordering them with the amp. I have sent an email to customer service and to the sales team trying to get that item canceled from my order. Hopefully it goes through.

IMO, I think you should get both and compare. If you keep the 4.1s, send the SuperZeros back. If you keep the SZs, sell the 4.1s here on the lounge. That way you won't have the "what if" question nagging you until the end of time. JMO.
