So guys I have received my NHT SZ 2.0 and they are very nice to look at, although I feel that the glossy finish will get a lot of scuff marks and finger prints. Will be testing them once I get teh mini amp in

which connector should i use to connect this amp to my computer? should I use the 3.5mm aux cable or should i use a 3.5 to rca plug? will it make any difference on which way to go?

OMG JUST GOT MY AMP AND HOOKED UP TO THE NHT SUPERZEROS AND I MUST SAY IT IS FREAKING AWESOME.
The amp is HUGE AND HEAVY!! The amp looks soo dam nice. Currently sitting on top of my desk and it sticks out soo much. Its too bad there arent that many desktop amps that look nicer than the emotiva.
Dam I can never go back to regular computer speakers.
Will be buying more emotiva products in the future for sure.

The a-100 is a great little amp. I was surprised how good it sounded when I hooked it up for the first time. Thanks for sharing your excitement with us. Now that you're hooked on Emotiva, expect to drain your wallet faster than you planned. ;D

Welcome to the world of good audio reproduction! Since you've had this reaction, I'm pretty sure this ain't going to be the end for you I'm glad it worked out for you. Yea im sure it wont be the last. I now must find a sub to hook up with the amp. I wonder if there will be any issues if i just went straight witht he rca outputs instead of using high speaker level outputs. just need a sub that gives me enough omph say an 8in or 10 in sub should be good enough. was thinking of the martinlogan dynamo 300 but not how i would hook it up to the amp. any ideas

damit guys. Iv been searching for a good sub to go with my SZ and its hard to find a good sub with the speaker level inputs/outputs. The ones I like, like the martin logan one doesnt like it would work with the mini (if i can get it to work how do i do so)
I kinda feel like getting the audioengine N22 amp now since it would be a lot easier to hook up a sub.
What are your guys thoughts on this?

Edit: Actually looking at the mini-x it looks like it has a line out on the RCA so I don't see a problem with your subwoofer. Just use them to your subwoofers input. You would control the volume from your pc I believe.
The audioengine is not as powerful as the mini-x. It's power figures are in "peak" figures rather than the continous all channels driven power the mini-x is rated for. This means that it's 40 watts peak per channel is likely a heck of a lot less per channel maybe more like 10 to 15 watts per channel. It may be a downgrade for you in sound quality. If the only reason you are doing this is to control the volume from the amp rather than the computer, I think you would give up more in sound quality than you would gain in functionality.

There: it has line outputs I was told those RCA outputs are fixed value, which they said I wouldnt be able to control the volume from the mini. BUt if i could control the volume from the computer for the sub that would work also.

It has 200W RMS and 420W peak output and is a 10" sub. It is on sale at Newegg for $180. It also has speaker inputs and outputs using banana plugs so it is easy to use with the mini-X amp. The owners manual shows how to make the high level speaker connections on Figure 4 on the last page. mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/mfg/3579/media_document/live_1/SynergySubs1012Rev2012.pdf?1329261485

Do you guys think this would over power my SZ? or should it blend pretty well with them? Looked at some reviews and alot of people are saying that this sub has issues with the amp shorting only with minimal use. Anyone have experience with this sub can chime in on that issue.

I actually just purchased one of these since I have a small Klipsch HT that I want to complete for a computer sound system. I wanted to take advantage of the Black Friday sale. With anything you purchase there is a possibility you will get a dud.

What's the sound signature of this amp?
Warm, Bright, Neutral, Clinical, Analytical, Musical?
What's the best DAC to pair with this in contrast?
