Another suggestion - can we shrink the avatars just a wee bit. At least the customizable proboard ones? Some of them are um... creepy. Creepy...nahhhh I'm thinking more along the lines of Creative...yeah that's it

I really like the new version of ProBoards. It also scales very well on my Samsung S3.

My general comment is that there is a bit too much space for icons, both profile and icons for topics in the list.
The second change would be to limit the height or people's signatures. While I like seeing signatures, there are some that are 160+ pixels high. This effects the experience for everyone else as they take up much of the screen.
All in all, I'm happy with the new boards general look/functionality.

Could we get the XPR added as a sub-board within the User Amplifier Reviews?
Thanks.

Now I can see a reasonable number of posts on a page. Bummer though, because I like to see the signatures and the profile pics add some colour.

Andrew, Thank you for the quick action. Putting the links to the product page, the website, and recent threads at top is a huge help. +1 If you could do something about the tiny font it would be appreciated

You can enlarge everything by holding down the ctrl key and spinning your mouse wheel up...but then the whole page will enlarge.

How about putting the sign up date for members - like it used to be? I updated my profile to show my join date but it should be automatically added. Can't always tell the newbs from the pros here without that info.

Can't always tell the newbs from the pros here without that info. I'd like to see that. You can still see how many posts a person has and get a bit of an idea but that isn't completely accurate because some of us just jabber more than others. I kind of liked seeing where people live also.

Thanks for the honesty and directness, Andrew!
And thanks for the quick actions to improve it already! One question...I notice the changes I see on my PC are not yet reflected on my Nexus tablet. Are mobile changes lagging those on PC's? (I did clear the cache on my tablet, FYI...)

The new mobile site is great, although there is no link to take you the last page of a thread without going to the first page. Apart from that, it is looking great

Still need a "Top" button at the bottom of each page (say, above the Quick Reply box) but otherwise it is getting there.

It would see that the "Top" button should be in the floating bar that lets you pick pages. The current model would be to have some sort of top text or up chevron in the center of that bar.

You can always press your Home and End keys to move to top and bottom of pages...

Andrew,
Every day that I log into the Lounge I miss seeing the Date and Time in the header. I also miss seeing the information the old Lounge had for Personal Messages. I liked seeing I have new messages and whether they have been replied to. The top right hand corner of the Lounge Header would be the ideal place for this information.
I also like seeing where Lounge members live and the date they joined the Lounge. It is helpful knowing this when we reply to a Lounge member if we know where they live and how long they have been members. Keep up the good work.

You can see if you have new PMs under this new system also,it is just a little different.I had to get used to this myself as I always glanced over there after signing in to see if there was anything new that needed my attention. The new way is for a balloon, like a dialog balloon in a comic,to pop up by the messages button up at the top.It should have a number in it showing how many new messages are waiting for you. It's as easy to see at a glance as before, maybe more so.I'm happy with that. Now as to the read or unread status, well I'm not sure, that may need some more attention. There is an envelope icon beside the messages that shows either open on unopened.Seems fine right?Well maybe not.The thing is that they now group the original message and all of the subsequent replies together, which I like.I suspect however that the read/unread icon is only accurate for the first message and after that continues to indicate read even when replies have not yet been read. I'm still learning bits and need some more back and forth PMs to verify how it all works. If it is happening as I suspect then that needs to be fixed as we need status for each individual message and reply given, not just one icon for an entire thread of back and forth messages.

Man,that stupid bear is giving me fits at the moment. This part got left off after the first bear visit and lost again with a second visit, maybe the third time will be a charm. I liked seeing the join date and member locations as well and hope they are brought back.Knucklehead posted about this same thing already and he had a great suggestion for a temporary solution.Simply go into your profile and manually add it under your avatar. That will only work for those that take the time to do it but it's better than nothing as a temporary fix.

Hi Andrew -
I'm sure someone has mentioned this before, but rather than reread this thread, I'll just throw it into the pot:
When reading a thread, when one gets to the "bottom of the page," there are no navigation buttons to advance to the next page. One needs to scroll all the way back to the top to find the buttons. It would be most convenient to have the "within-the-thread" navigation buttons not only at the top but also at the bottom of each page of posts.
Cordially - Boomzilla

Boomzilla, Are you not seeing the navigation hover floating at the top of your screen when you scroll down?
