You can, of course, press the Home key...

I'm going to be reviewing most Emotiva products present and future and am mulling around ideas on how best to incorporate the reviews here on the forum. The reviews will be featured on the Emotiva website but I do want to include them here as well. Should they have their own section, or should they simply be part of existing threads pertaining to the specific product? What do you guys think? It would be nice to have all reviews together (with better organization than is currently offered), your reviews should at least have their own thread. If you want comments related to your review (like your website or FB page), then the thread's a good place. If you want the discussion elsewhere (say generally discussing the Emotiva Wizbang-1000), then just lock the review and simultaneously start a discussion thread (like Keith does with the Emozine).

Dave, The page navigation floats as a toolbar. I like it way better than before as you can navigate from the middle of a page instead of at the top or at the bottom. Is that widget showing up for you? The widget is on the top part but always there. Let me know? Reg, Yes, I can use that to jump from one page of a thread to the next. The Top button I am talking about is to jump to the top of any page. Most forums I use have this feature and it is very handy when replying to a long thread. Perhaps that function could be added to the navigation bar, i don't know. Hi everyone, I'm a developer at ProBoards and I wanted to answer as many of the questions regarding the forum in this thread. There is a Back to Top button that's found in the options menu at the top right of every post. Click it and then select Back to Top. ProBoards also has a plugin system that allows for installing additional forum features. Among the plugins is one that places a "Back to Top" button to right right of the screen. The button is always there so it makes it easy to go back to the top. Keep in mind only the forum admin and staff with proper permissions can install plugins.

I appreciate it!

I really find the new version of Proboards forum much better. It scales very on screen with different solutions en also layout has improved BUT using it on my Google Nexus 7 tablet there is one annoying flaw. Every time I open a forum thread on the Chrome browser of my Nexus, Proboards asked me if I would install the Proboards application. I don't want to have the Proboards application, I'm already using tapatalk for a lot of Forums I'm member of but Emotiva is my only Proboard forum. Can this Pop-Up been switched off? The pop-up should only appear at most once every two weeks as long as you are not clearing your cookies or using Chrome's incognito mode. Since you are using a tablet, you could opt to use the normal Desktop version of the site instead of the mobile version (then you won't see the pop-up). You can do this by going to the forum, then go to Chrome's settings menu and check the "Request desktop site" box.

As someone mentioned, you can always press the HOME key to get back to the top but if you're scrolling down and doing everything else with a mouse, it makes it so much easier to click on the button instead of pressing a key on the keyboard. Doesn't seem like a big deal but it is - it's nice to have the convenience.

I like the upgrades. I do have to manually input the BB code for urls and images so that I can have a image reference a url unless I am doing something wrong. [url=PUT-LINK-HERE][img]Put-IMG-Address-here][/img][/url] If I use the insert url or img it is a different outcome. The other thing I noticed is the Messages. I used to see my message count and whether I had a new one and not sure how I status that without going into messages. It is much more convenient to have the status up by my login as before. Otherwise, Good stuff. I like the thumbs up button and use it on "Currently Playing" and I like the support of other video formats other than Youtube. Keep up the good work. Yes, that's what you'd have to do to link an image. It might be improved in the future. If you have any new messages you should see a little bubble with the number of new messages above the "Messages" link at the top. Let me know if that doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm trying to like the new forum look and feel, but I'm just not feeling the love yet... Still no spell check available for when I create postings, (no matter WHAT hemster says!). When I click on one of my recent postings it takes me (not to that post), but to the very beginning of the damn thread (I hate that!). Not friendly for uploading .jpgs into a post. Locks up, 'spins' forever w/o 'taking', forcing me to cancel, etc. What's happended? New site is slow (too graphics heavy?) takes a longer time to load, and to change pages, and so on...and yes, I do have adecent computer... Nope, the 'ol Norseman's not feel'in the love, yet...maybe with time and more improvements? Depending on where you are, there is usually a way to get the the last post or the last unread post of a thread. What link or page are you using to see your recent posts? Are you still having problems with uploading attachments?

Finally solved the problem of uploading attachments and getting a spell-checker to use - both cured with my browser upgrade from IE9 to IE10. The issue of clicking on a thread post, and then getting dragged back to the very first post in that thread is unchanged, and still annoying. Why not even a thread page indicator in each post so we can get close at least?
Anyway, most of my problems are solved now...

I like the arrow that takes you back to the top. Thanks! Agreed.I was not thinking that the lack of the "top" button was a big deal but with the floating one now activated I have changed my mind,it's nice to have.

Can you copy and paste a link for me so I can see where you are coming from? Just to give you an idea of the different ways of accessing threads and posts. - If you have enabled Participated feature there is a Participated button on the top right. Clicking it displays recent threads you've participated in. Any threads you click here will take you to the oldest unread post.
- If you are browsing a board, you might see threads with a new icon. Clicking the new icon will also take you to the oldest unread post of the thread. When browsing a board, there is also a last post column. If you click the last post column, it will take you to the last post in the thread.

So I understand that the top button was added on requests. But I find it annoying and it blocks my posts. I'd rather not have it there.

I constantly get the infamous:
"Oops, there was an error! Could not connect to search server. Please try again. "
Whenever I try & use the "Search" function.

newandlearn, geeboWe apologize for the search funtionality being down. The search server has been having some intermittent issues and our (ProBoards) system admin is currently working on a solution. It's one of our top priorities so we hope to have it fixed soon.

Yep, a bit on the bright side, like a new house with white wash walls. Plenty of potential if you want!
