Nick Never mind Nop - am taling about the JBL Studio 590... thanks for the reply tho... I checked out the Studio 580's (middle sized bear) at our local dealer today.... They sounded freakin amazing, all genres, all SPLs, all frequencies... I'm seriously thinking about picking up a pair. And FYI, blew the stigma of compressi9on drivers being 'harsh' right out the window... they were so silky sweet I just about got outta the couch and started licking them!!!

Hey, any you JBL fans had any time with the Studio 590's ?? ...your thoughts? Haven't heard the new Studio series, but love my ES & L series speakers! JBL does a lousy job of marketing their speakers, so you've gotta search them out now, but oh wow...they know how to do it right! (Used to have a pair of JBL 88+12 monitors - L100 equivalents - but sold them on eBay a few years ago for a bundle! They were bought new in 1977 and performed beautifully for more than 30 years! - Yup!, count the ol' Norseman as a JBL fanboy too!).

I haven't heard a pair of JBL's since my beloved JBL L150s decades ago. Please let us know what you think if you decide to pull the trigger...

OK, front ported I see. How is that Titanium tweeter? Is it at all harsh or shrill sounding? How's the off-axis response? I really haven't auditioned these so... just asking.

HLS-810: I use these little guys for my rears. They match well with the Klipsch. I'd love to hear the 820s.

If so, that's impressive.

JBL just posted this setup on their Facebook page. Anything look familiar?? It all looks incredibly familiar. The Emo/JBL combo is wicked good. Walls have been painted and the Emo gear is back in it's cabinet along with the OPPO 93. The 2 L8400 subs are stacked with the PT800 surrounds.
