As you can tell by my signature , I'm kind of a JBL Speaker fan-boy. I just wanted to share this link for the "Kenrick Sound" YouTube page. They are out of Japan and specialize in restoring and modifying classic JBL monitors. They do work on other brands too , but mostly JBL. This guy and his company do some Amazing! work! Check it out if that kind of stuff interest you. I always get a kick out of my Wife when she walks in on me watching some of the many videos Kenrick has produced. I just tell her Im watching some more Speaker Porn. She usually laughs and walks away , shaking her head. Anyhow , here it is. Kenrick SoundEnjoy!

these pics have me looking at old floor monitors, like the Infinity SM series. I'd love a set of SM-152's for my garage. Those things RIPPED.

Very cool. New to these boards, just got my Emo gear. Love my JBL speakers. I have a pair of hidden gems, very few people in the audio world know about it - JBL L5 towers that I bought in 1994 for about $1200 or so. I believe they were the last American made, retail channel JBLs. In any case, over the years I have not listened to any sub-$3K speaker that come close to these in performance.

Yes, the tweeter and mid-range are on a time-aligned baffle. The mid-bass and woofer are at the bottom of the cabinet. A true 4-way design with a big crossover module. It has the 035TiA titanium tweeter, sounds incredible. The L series was designed as studio monitors with care taken to avoid excess brightness even with Titanium tweeters. aren't those the ones with the sloped baffle and cool looking titanium tweeters? I remember them...nice indeed.

If you have 20 minutes to spare you really need to see the lengths these guys go to , to deliver these JBL 4350s , to this guys condo. Its a little long but worth it.

More JBL fans on here than I thought. Someday I'll have to take what I call "the world's largest bookshelf speakers" and use them as side and rear surrounds. The question then becomes, what do I use as FL and FR speakers?

not that they're a comparison, but this thread got me looking at old Infinty "house" speakers, ala the SM Series. I picked up a set of SM-85's off eBay yesterday and also ordered a new Class D mini-app with integrated Bluetooth PAN from Parts Express; these will get mounted high up in my garage. 100x2 on those things should scream....
