Woofers look like 7" to me also it looks like maybe a 3 way? I wonder what the "order" crossover will be? and a 4 ohm? 8 ohm? speaker uhmm?

I actually emailed Emotiva sales to ask about these, specifically when we may see some more spec's or info. The response I got was the speakers are probably 6 months out from release. To which I responded, thanks, but I was just looking for when the specs or some kind of further info may be provided, not when the speakers themselves would be available.... to which I got the response "The speakers are still in prototype stage, best guess is a release in the 6 month time frame"... So, hopefully that was a misunderstanding of what I was asking, and not the INFO will be out in 6 months. That would suck.

Personally, I honestly don't see why Emotiva does not release just a bit more info on their new passive speakers that will debut in the near future.
The only passive speakers Emotiva currently has 4-sale are in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor speakers. Nothing internally to compete with in their current speaker line.
Externally speaking, Emotiva has competitors who have products available...
Maybe a customer looking for a passive speaker would put off purchasing a competitor's product if they knew more about what Emotiva will offer in the near future.

My guess would be this is the year to push their processors. XMC-1 and new DACs and the like. Speakers may come out this year, but I agree EmoFest would probably when we actually see them. MAYBE for sale around XMas.

That would be a little ridiculous of a time frame. Seeing how we were going to see them in March. I believe Andrew also said something along the lines of speakers not being to complicated making it an easier release time.
Ah well, This is all to be expected with big product announcements from Emotiva.
However, they might surprise us all and just throw them up on the site in March?

I noticed the Stealth 8swere out of stock and I am very interested in any new active Emotiva speakers - I come from the pro audio world and would love to be able to simply run an XSP-1 Gen II into Stealths. While I am eager, I also realize they just released the proper promo stuff and spec update for the XMC, just released the XSP-1 Gen II (also with video), just released the Fusion (also with video!)...You can only put so much out there at once or you lessen the exposure for any of the items. And need to let people's wallets adjust.

Janszen now showing the zA1.1 speakers: www.janszenloudspeaker.com/Need more details though. I know it's down 1 electrostatic panel, but it also looks like only one bass driver (I'd heard it would be two bass drivers). There are no specs for the 1.1 yet. |
