Ask me no questions...then I can tell no lies. A taste of things to come. This is the rumor I've heard!
And now for something completely different!!! News? ? When I was at Emotiva on the road in L.A, Dan was asked when they will be introduced. He said that they were trying to get a cabinet that made the speakers look "sexy". He was vague on when this would happen, but mentioned end of first quarter 2015. But said this was not set in stone. I thought that in the teaser photo the speakers looked good. So it will be a while longer. Sorry guys.

That picture alone is sexy enough to turn me on to the idea of buying them! I remember the day that teaser pic was posted, I about had an accident in my pants. LOL! The Emo speakers are by far the product that interests me the most. Thanks for the info/update. Honestly, I don't think we will see/hear much more about the speakers until they are on the boat and about to be piled in the warehouse.

Unlike Emotiva's electronics (which might be the best bang-for-the-buck in the market), there's a ton of wonderful loudspeakers and subs on the market, available for very reasonable prices. Over the years it seems, Emotiva's efforts in the loudspeaker market have been a bit lackluster IMHO. What can Emotiva do to make a dent in this already crowded market?

What I am hoping for is a true full range tower with ribbon tweeters. I know they have ribbons planned, but I am curious to see how they approach their largest tower. I would also like to see matching bi/di pole surrounds...all for a reasonable price, of course. Perhaps I am asking a bit much, but I think they can pull it off.

Full range going down to 30hz or below, and doing it accurately would be nice. Priced under 1500 and bi-wire capable and the ability to totally disappear.

What now, an Emotiva "sexy" speaker that will have a cabinet that will look something like this?

I concur with bootman. The reference series was definitely something to behold. Excellent price/performance. I do kind of miss them. I would classify them as "elegant"

]What I am hoping for is a true full range tower with ribbon tweeters. Golden Ear Triton 7's. $699 each. Might be worth a listen if you haven't yet. Supposed to be mighty impressive.

I sure hope they keep tight quality control because I was chatting with some designers who have tested the AMT drivers sourced from PE and the measurements were all over the place from batch to batch with zero consistency.
A very well respected designer refused to use those drivers due to these issues and many samples had horrible measurements.
Perhaps all of these OEM/ODM drivers being used by third parties other than Adam are factory rejects?
Perhaps the Chinese are not manufacturing to the same spec as the German made versions.
