Considering the Stealth 8 was $1500 / pair brand new, and Stealth 88 will likely be $2100 / pair, I'd guess these (in this thread) will be in the $2500 / pair range. I'm aware they're passive and don't have amps or a digital crossover on board, but they have that cabinet and that finish.
I'm pretty sure the higher driver is a dynamic cone -- you can see the surround and everything. Most likely a midrange driver at 7" with the two bass drivers at 6.5" each below it. Actually, if that tweeter is the same as the Airmotiv 4/5, then that could be a 6" midrange and two 5.25" woofers in a mini-tower.

I'm aware they're passive and don't have amps or a digital crossover on board, but they have that cabinet and that finish. You may be right, but the competition becomes very, Very, VERY stiff in the speaker market at those prices. Why would Emotiva want to get into the middle of an overcrowded price range? I hope you're high, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure the higher driver is a dynamic cone -- you can see the surround and everything. Most likely a midrange driver at 7" with the two bass drivers at 6.5" each below it. I hope you're wrong. If the driver is a dynamic cone, then there will have to be a significant hunk of the (already small) speaker's internal volume devoted to the midrange chamber. Given the munchkin size of the speaker, I wouldn't think that they could spare that much volume. I think that they used Photoshop to cut a photo of one of the woofers & enlarged it just slightly to cover the edges of the (maybe rectangular?) bezel of a midrange ribbon. A ribbon, likely having its own sealed back chamber, should take less volume than a cone midrange. Again, you could be right and me wrong... It's all talk (with apologies to King Crimson). Cheers - Boomzilla

Geez - What a bunch of spoilsports! Have some OPTIMISM! Dan's going to announce this morning that Emotiva's offering an entire line of new passive speakers, three new subwoofers, and that they're ALL available now AND on half-price until Christmas! Further, he'll tell us that since we cared enough to participate in the "new speakers" thread, that all thread participants receive free airfare to Emofest 2014. Finally, he's announcing that the Swedish Bikini Team models are guests at Emofest 2014. MERRY CHRISTMAS! And I can already see Dan's response to this one:

After careful reading of the message from Dan, I noticed that he says '...podcast Monday.' He does not say which Monday. So please be patient. All our goodies are on their way - if not Santa, maybe my valentine, or maybe columbus, or somebody else will bring them to fruition !

Andrew said that they're recording it now, so we can probably expect it within the next day or so.

Big Dan noted in another thread that the picture was altered to limit some of the details shown. So it is a real picture per Andrew, with some details obscured per Big Dan. Looks to me like dual 6.5" drivers for the bass. I'd be shocked if they were 8". Maybe we'll hear on the Monday Podcast? It looks like something close to 6/6.5" drivers, and another bigger driver that's 7-8". I was playing around in Sketchup trying to get an idea of the proportions.. Will be interesting to get details, for sure.
