I'm logged in, and I have the e-club in my order history. But still no go.

I have been trying to purchase XMC-1 for two days and Bongo refuses to take my payments due to some security restrictions. Tried two different credit cards, PayPal, no luck.
By the way, if I add Dirac live to the card, shipping cost grows 50% and taxes/duties are not shown saying that I will have to pay them to a courier.

Tried to order the xmc-1 last night, but the e-club saving is not working. Any ideas? Add eclub to your cart then remove it. That usually works.

Without Dirac they also add $350CAD for taxes and other fees + $50CAD insurance. With Dirac Live they don't add taxes and fees but specify that they should be paid to a courier (whatever courier wishes). Strange thing is the shipping cost. $40CAD more if you add Dirac Live.

But when removing it, the 10% goes away. Have tried logging out, logging in. Doing the same thing again. Nothing works. Frustrating.

Ok, got one step further, but getting other problems. 1: When picking the full DIRAC it adds on my shipping cost. Why? 2: When trying to pay with paypal, it kicks me to a page telling me they can't process my request due to security restrictions. Hehe, make it really hard to throw my cash their way

Sent several emails to support with no answer. I will probably try to order by phone later this week (once CAD swings higher in a couple of days). The problem is that how do they know how much to charge me for shipping/brokerage fees/taxes if I order by phone? Or Emotiva can send it to me by USPS and let me worry about taxes/fees myself (that would be the best way to deal with it)?

When you order by phone, they will give you the invoice amount which will have shipping/brokerage fees/taxes etc. for door to door delivery. From there on its upto you on how you want to pay.

International ordering use to be so easy before Bongo etc.
I would fill out the international quote form, receive a reply overnight (I'm in Australia) and give them the OK to charge my Paypal account. I would authorise the payment within a couple of hours and the product would be shipped to my door at a very good price and arrive within within 7 or 8 days. I had absolutely nothing but good things to say about every purchase experience.
I have since purchased once with Bongo and am reluctant to do it again. I was charged duties when it should have been less than the $AU1000 threshold, charged more for shipping and the shipping time doubled.
Dave.

Okay here is my experience with ordering DIRAC full license from Emotiva. On Friday, after Emotiva fixed the "problem" that ordering the DIRAC FULL license should be shipped via Bongo, see also link, I stayed on the Emotiva page after entering my address. Now I could select to order via Paypal or directly via Credit Card. Knowing that Paypal has rather poor exchange rates I used the option to pay via credit card directly. Unfortunately twice I recevied an error message that Emotiva was unable to process the Credit Card Payment. Although both times it showed up in my Credit Card account as a reservation (?!). On Monday I called Emotiva explaining the problem. After a few hours I received an email, due to time differences we agreed that calling back might not be a good option, explaining to me that the E-Shop of Emotiva wasn't able to process International Credit Cards.... So I tried the Paypal option and that worked. But indeed ordering via Paypal was around 4% (4 euro) more expensive than paying via Credit Card directly..... Now waiting for the license code..

I still cannot use my Canadian credit card and PayPal due to the same "security reasons". So I guess the only way to do it is via a phone call.

As much as I love my Emotiva gear, won't be buying anything else via bongo!!!

If you are concerned like I was i just emailed sales and asked them to ups or fedex quote me and bam .a no brainer. Xmc#2 is packed labeled and scan on its ups way...all in 1 business day. Maybe it's more expensive than arranging my own shipper, maybe more than bongo I don't care...I know it's coming and its one man in the middle.
The Emotiva guys and gals really are there to help...you just have ask for what you need and at least for me it's never been any issue...even tho I have never once spoken to anyone there on the phone, things are done and stuff turns up.

Yes, I also had annoying difficulties paying with my Canadian credit card in December. Bongo would not accept the card, failing to verify the card (they are ignorant of issues related to exchange rate conversions and how CC pending purchase information is presented in different countries). I had to call my bank, email Bongo's support with additional info, and then Emotiva's support, and after a few days someone had approved the purchase. Emotiva's support was most forthcoming, but at that point they said it was beyond their control. In any case the Bongo payment experience was quite negative, particularly for a company that relies on online sales. Once the payment was approved, the amp was delivered in good order. In the end, I am very happy with the SA-250...

I just went through a bunch of communications with Emo and got a song & dance about "credit card fraud" (including Canada) and that Emo's CC company will not process payments for people who have a non US billing address and want it shipped to a US address. Talked to my Visa & MC companies and they both said it is done all the time and that their security Division hold the order authorization until they talk to the card holder and confirm it is legit. Getting harder and harder to buy from Emo. Paypal loses a load of features that all my CC companies offer, instant replacement if item gets damaged within so many days and so on. I have residences in both countries so I can choose which card (Canada or US billing address) I want to use, but that is not the point. I almost get the feeling that Emo doesn't really like doing business outside of the continental US.

Ended up calling them and ordering it by phone yesterday morning. Still waiting for a quote, something tells me that I won't receive it for some reason today or any time soon. Hopefully I am wrong. Will try to call again tomorrow if there is no email from them.
