It went quite fast for me I had the same problem. I'm from Norway, and at first I could not get my e-membership to work. Sent a mail on friday evening. That was fixed pretty quick on Monday. Then I got the issues with credit card and paypal. They sent me a quote on Tuesday, and guideline to pay directly with paypal. Payed earlier today, got a message back that my unit would be shipped as soon as my payment was confirmed from paypal. And as I was typing this I got my DIRAC activation code for the full version, so I guess my payment has gone through

How can Bongo charge an additional $40 freight to someone for the Dirac license........ I don't think anyone really has an issue with Emotiva here, just the whole Bongo fiasco.

$40 if you want a paper invoice mailed to you.

You are correct... Dirac Live for Emotiva is a download. The only thing you will receive is a license - via e-mail. Were you able to use your Canadian card? I just went through a bunch of communications with Emo and got a song & dance about "credit card fraud" (including Canada) and that Emo's CC company will not process payments for people who have a non US billing address and want it shipped to a US address. Talked to my Visa & MC companies and they both said it is done all the time and that their security Division hold the order authorization until they talk to the card holder and confirm it is legit. Getting harder and harder to buy from Emo. Paypal loses a load of features that all my CC companies offer, instant replacement if item gets damaged within so many days and so on. I have residences in both countries so I can choose which card (Canada or US billing address) I want to use, but that is not the point. I almost get the feeling that Emo doesn't really like doing business outside of the continental US. I could not pay with my Canadian credit card or PayPal. Ended up calling them and ordering it by phone yesterday morning. Still waiting for a quote, something tells me that I won't receive it for some reason today or any time soon. Hopefully I am wrong. Will try to call again tomorrow if there is no email from them. I received a quote and paid by PayPal. Took a while but it worked in the long run. Now the question is how soon am I going to get it.

From what I have seen the parent company lists the trade in goods on Ebay under jadedesign. They usually offer fair pricing and a one year warranty with the goods. I have bought two or three components from them and been very pleased.

Then why do Bongo charge for delivery of this when it comes from Emotiva anyway?? And yes it's been stated in this thread that it has happened.

The box is UPS directly from Emotiva. Very fast shipping and actually seems to be cheaper and much easier than Bongo. So if you have a choice just ask for the quote and pay directly to Emotiva bypassing all the intermediates.

I'm trying to get a handle on how international shipping works with bongo.com. I'm currently evaluating their shipping cost estimator, but I'm missing some basic information to begin with. Specifically I'd need to know the dimensional weight as well as the real weight of the packaged product. I know that there is dimensional and weight information in the "specs" section of the product pages, but these values refer to the unit itself. They do not include packaging material, documentation and accessories and thus cannot be used to derive the shipping rates. So I'd like to ask, if anybody who ordered an XMC-1 lately would be able to provide the dimensions and the weight of the postal package? Thanks /bb

Thanks /bb Easiest thing is: Send an email to sales@emotiva.com ask for a quote with your adress. Choose to accept (or not) and pay. I'm not even sure Bongo is involved that way. I always order through email never through the website.

Yes sure, I'll get a quote from Emotiva once I decided to order. I just want to see how bongo.com works and how it compares to similar services (e.g. www.ship2anywhere.com.au or www.borderlinx.com). BTW: I found the information in the manual emotiva: I'd suggest to put this information also on the website. /bb

After that get a new quote if you finally decide to order. Why go though a reshipper when it's more expensive?

I never insisted on using a reshipper. I'm just doing some market analysis to see what prices are common. Consider this: If you get a quote from Emotiva, how do you know it's a good quote?
