Ok but you're "once I decide to order then I get a quote" still doesn't make any sense. Get a quote now and compare it to whatever else you're considering aka bongo etc. If nobody else will I'll measure the XMC box but it won't be today. Edit: I'm speaking the way I'm speaking because after 2 years and almost 10 big orders (big=not just cables) I still haven't found a cheaper way to ship then by going through Emotiva directly (in my case email).

I'm up to order #13 from Emotiva, a pair of Airmotive 6's and I'll do the usual comparison, bongo, Emotiva freight and reshipper. Last time the reshipper was the best price, then Emotiva freight a close second, considerable daylight and then Bongo. I'll post up the results again this time. Cheers Gary

I order via email too. I'm not sure how it compares to bongo but I just like the fact the Emotiva have the direct contact with the actual shipping company and I can track it without any issues. Works for me and Emotiva seem to be ok with it too

Well I ordered my XMC-1 and had it shipped to a reshipper. Emotiva charged me $20 for shipping because I had a 40% off voucher.
The reshipper charged me $148 US to ship it to Australia. It arrived this morning and there was no customs bill / duty. Pretty happy about that!!!
I declared the goods value as $1199 US which is what I paid for it so a little surprised customs didn't hit me with a levy. Maybe they were feeling generous today!

Quick update, the Airmotive 6's arrived last week and I saved $A100 using the reshipper (HopShopGo) compared to Emotiva's email price and $A130 compared to the Bongo price. As usual the free delivery from Franklin to Portland (6 days) took longer than the delivery from Portland to Sydney (4 days).
Cheers Gary

Have used them for a couple of things. They're super-easy to deal with and shipping rates are cheeeeep.

Actually, the goods value = 1199+20+148 USD... I am very surprised about the apparent randomness of your customs services.

Our customs have always been pot luck for as long as I remember. It also seems to depend on the carrier, no idea why.

Plus the Australia tax....... Emotiva price x3 to x5 Who wants to play? Well I for one am going to hold the boss to his promises; We not raising our prices. We will accommodate our retail partners without raising our prices to our customers. We've spent quite a bit of time developing our blended market strategy and we will not do it on the backs of our customers by raising our prices. We will NEVER stop selling direct to our customers. Cheers Big Dan I have that post tagged for all future reference
Cheers Gary

I wonder if you can order direct still if the prices are indeed more than direct import.

I guess the big question is, can we still use our 40% vouchers if we buy from Aussie dist? Surely we could yeah?
