Really hope that Emotiva can see what this does to the international customers - Im planning a big Upgrade in 2015, but if the freight double the price to Norway I really have to consider other options aswell

I went to order an ERC-3 when they went on sale. It was $360 for the unit and my quote came back at $719 delivered with two RCA cables........ But I get stung a remote delivery fee seeing as I'm a 5 minute drive from my Capital Cities CBD. THST IS A JOKE.

I got several questions regarding to shipping to EU. It is possible that a few of you may have misunderstood me, sorry. Here is an example: Someone would like to buy a XSP-1. XSP-1 costs 1000 USD. Shipping of XSP-1 to EU costs 280 USD (Bongo). I wrote, the buyer can have an average 25% discount. Does it mean that the buyer has to pay 210 USD (25% discount) for shipping? NO. Let's suppose the buyer lives in NL. Duty rates in NL: 0-17% Tax: 21% Minimum cost: 1280 USD * 1.21 = 1548.8 USD Maximum cost: (1280 USD * 1.17) * 1.21 = 1812.1 USD Average cost: 1680.45 USD If I import the XSP-1, then the buyer pays 1350 USD, so he/she can save 200-460 USD (14-34%), average 330 USD (24%). So the buyer can get 330 USD discount, not 70 USD. I hope, this is clear now. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

I've orderred an XMC-1. I've got 25% discount for the UMC-200 that I've previously have purchased. I've paid 1499 US for the unit and 284 US for shipment via UPS. Total of 1783 US. Once arriving in Bulgaria I would have to pay another 25% for VAT and custom taxes or around 445 US. So to me the XMC-1 would cost around 2230 US or 1780 Euro.

Yes, please get rid of Bongo Emotiva, I can't justify getting any of your products shipped to Australia using this method.

Unit price plus UPS shipping in dollars equals the end price in Euro. Bingo no Bongo!

I know but UPS seems to be all right, too. Unfortunately I missed the UPS delivery man by an hour and so I have to wait until Monday but he left a note with the remaining fees. So the overall costs for two FR XPA-1L are $1284 for me. Good old days.

I think that it would be really helpful if the management at Emotiva addressed the legitimate concerns of their international customers. We love your equipment, but the Bongo prices cause us to hesitate over further purchases. Could someone please make an official comment.

I have been reading sitejabber, there are lot of stories about high prices, both in the US and internationally. They messed up my discount and I have to buy more, from Emotiva, to get the money I'm owed. Would Emotiva please take the concerns of their international customers seriously, and respond to our questions. Many thanks in anticipation.

I am a new prospect for Emotiva, based in the UK. I am very keen on the XSP-1, especially at the sale price, but to-date have been completely unable to complete my order for it. I have been trying for the last four days!
Emotiva's site is fine, but Bongo seems to have problems integrating with the Emotiva data (swapping billing and shipping addresses for instance ) and then cannot seem to verify my credit card. I have tried four different ones with no success. Maybe there is a timeout on the Bongo side, because my cards require extra validation for internet payments....?
I have now all but given up trying to order. Emotiva, there is no point having good products if people cannot order them!
Lastly I have looked at sitejabber also for Bongo. It does not make encouraging reading. Perhaps it is just as well I could not complete my transaction.

Thanks Ludi, Gary and Rob.
I got through on the phone to International Sales after a couple of diversions within Emotiva, and quickly made an order. Quite painless, as I was already an E-Club member. All done, XSP-1 on its way!
Rob your views on the product convinced me to pull the trigger, thanks also for your insights.
Cheers, Grant

I was all ready and excited to try out Emotiva. Was going to start with a XPA 200, it was on sale too, even better. Added it to my cart and Bongo tells me $108 for shipping, another $40 bucks because I live in a "remote area" (Newfoundland Canada) which is the first time I've ever been charged extra for that, then of course duties/taxes which is expected.
I ship things between myself and the USA for work every day. $150.00 for a 37lbs box is beyond absurd. Your usa competitor will sell me a 5 channel, near 60lbs, and only cost me $54 shipping +duties/tax.
You guys got some thinking to do with this Bongo thing. Maybe get a warehouse to hold some stock in Ontario. SVS does this, and I just got a SVS sub shipped for FREE and its 100lbs.
Whatever you decide, Bongo gotta go.
