Whah whah whah.... I feel like I am the punchline of a bad joke. Here is my new XMC-1 Dirac cable. I don't think this is going to help me.... Guess I'll have another weekend without Dirac working. First world problems right here!!! Sorry deewan, But I cannot stop laughing. I do really feel bad for ya. But it is rather comical. At this point I think Dan Laufman should deliver you a cable the EMM-1 cable in person. By chance, your not having a trigger issue, are you? Tony

Deewan,
I suggest you don't play the lottery or go to Las Vegas.
I am so sorry for what you are going through.
Take care,
Steve

Yea, it's pretty darn funny. I can't get mad, I can only laugh at this point. All this for a cable and I'm still not sure it was only the cable or cable/mic that was defective. I will continue to say this, everyone at Emotiva and their customer service has been a PLEASURE to deal with. I was on hold waiting for Damon for 15 minutes (he was on another call) before being transferred to Chad (I think). He went above and beyond and said he is going to try to over night a cable to me. I then requested if I could get a cable that's been tested so I know the cable works. Chad went above and beyond again and said he is going to send me his personal cable. A++++ for customer service. So while I am disappointed I won't have Dirac this weekend, I'm grateful for the amazing support Emo provides. What other AV company could I call and speak to a guy who is going to send me his own personal cable that he knows works??? time for some drinks and enjoy this weekend. I'll try again next week to skin this Dirac cat.

It is a real problem, but it's not a major problem. Just dumb luck. Nothing that can't be resolved with a few drinks and a movie in the theater. Thank you for allowing me to help with real problem. It's such a rush. I help people with real problems everyday. Your You're welcome !

By chance, your not having a trigger issue, are you? Tony Geesh, you know at first I took your comment as 100% joke. But upon examination of the cable, I realize this cable as the resistor fix made to it. I sure hope I didn't get someones trigger cable and they got my Dirac cable. If anyone reads this and knows of a customer who got a Dirac cable instead of a trigger cable please let me know. I'll gladly ship them this cable ASAP!!!

Out of everyone here you are the most unhappy person about your microphone and Dirac. I have a feeling that until your microphone and Dirac does exactly as you want you will not be happy. Deewan, I have no sympathy for you. There are too many people out there with real problems and having to read everyone complain about this over and over is getting old to me.

I can promise you there is NO POSSIBLE way you know my feelings better than I know my own. I really didn't think anything about your comments until you are now forcing the issue. Apparently sarcasm is completely lost on you and you are unable to see people having fun and laughing about bad luck. I thank you for helping people with their real problems every day, but I sure hope you do it with more tact and grace than you use when posting here. If not, I feel sorry for those you are helping because I am sure it's not the brightest point of their day. P.S. I don't need nor want your sympathy. I didn't ask for any, just joking around with some fun loving guys, then you showed up. If I am the most unhappy person on here, then this place is full of more jolly and happy people than Disneyland.

Deewan , I have been following this thread and this forum for a long time and you are being more patient and accommodating than I could hope to be. TBH I was pissed when I saw what they sent you, had to bite my tongue. FWIW, there is no better place to go than these forums when problems arise , most everyone on here is eager to help others put problems behind them without the need for a phone call during our working day. I am not sure what thread Axis has been reading but he is way off on this one.

Gentlemen, settle down... this thread is hopefully of some help to people with Dirac mic issues. So let's not spoil it, eh? Besides, we seem to forget that this is a hobby, not a matter of life and death. It's just not worth raising your blood pressure over.

Sorry hemster. My light hearted humor about my dumb luck, predicted innocent status update and desire to thank Emotiva for their help is not being communicated correctly by me since the perceived message is not what I intended. I truly thank ansat for his help and I honestly am not upset at Emotiva or anyone for my cable issues. I'm thankful for the help and enjoying my weekend. Some situations may be best to deal directly with Emotiva and with a method (phone) where my tone and jokes are clear. This is probably one of them.
