I just got in the mail 2 pairs of uom-6.2 with plans to put them around my pool. It took me a long bit to pull the trigger on them but the closeout price was too good. I held off because I couldn't really find any reviews at all anywhere on them, granted, its all subjective but something would have been good.
I set up one pair atop of my rf-7's and started playing them, breaking them in a bit. I was really surprised at their sound in a positive way. They have a brightness similar to my 7's which was quite a pleasing find. Bass was as I assumed it would be and was actually a bit more. Once the drivers started to loosen up a bit infound the sound to smooth out over all. I listened to a multitude of music from Lana del rey to zedd, songs that I am familiar with and found it all to be quite pleasant. Couple these with a subwoofer and youd be none the wiser they were bookshelfs.
I'll report back once my pool project is done with pictures!

I have them in my three season porch with a little 6.5" Velodyne Impact Mini sub and they work quite well together. Nice tweeter for the money.

I've had a pair for a couple years. Ran them in my camper (needed something tough) with a B&W 8 inch sub. Combo sounded pretty good to me. Getting ready to order some for my brother.

I have a pair on our deck and I do like them but I expected a bit more bottom end than what I am hearing. I have them mounted vertically under a bench which is total open behind them. I an thinking about putting some kind of back board behind them and see what that does. I think they would sound better that way but we'll see.

im OK with the bottom end because after i tested with a few of my home theater speakers, i realized, the bass is going to drive my neighbors nuts. the amount of bass that these puts out is actually great an it makes talking to one another easy.
im down to designing how to run wires. im going to do a test run with everything and then getting piping for a direct burial. I am getting the wires and all to my UMC-1 for zone 2 usage which makes sense since its hooked up to my Sonos receiver

UOM-6.2 owners, how are the speakers holding up after years outdoors exposed to sun, rain, and temperature extremes?
The idea of silk dome tweeters outside makes me a bit concerned about UV degradation.
The tweeter just died in one of the Advent Marbl's we've had on the patio for 15 years. Paid $50 at Costco for these and they surprisingly lasted 15 years outside in the weather extremes of southwest Ohio. However, I did cover each one of them with two plastic grocery bags when not in use.

So far so good but I have only had them for a few months. I will remove them from our deck for the winter so I can shovel the snow. I have them mounted under the benches and that is where I push the snow off the deck. The bottom end has gotten better as time goes on.

I will leave them mounted outdoors year-round (as I did with the Advent's), as we use the patio speakers through the winter when we have the fire pit going.
