I just want the DC-1/SP-1 size Mono and Stereo amps that were mentioned way back....even a pic would suffice for now. Front and back. For a desktop setup that pairing would be so sweet. Or to go with my new favourite toys a pair of Oppo HA-1's in 2 different rooms. As for analogue inputs on the PREPRO one could do something like a DB25 with a flying lead in with wither bal or single ended harness. That would be cool and take up very little space. Even a DB9 would suffice for 7.1 line in. AVID use something like this for their Studio gear on a DIGI 192 etc.    |

Trying not to "speak out of turn" here, but I can say that the Emersa line is certainly not the entry level line. Once you see what is in these units and the specs you will be blown away. These units were designed to offer the performance of the XMC or XSP but are targeted to those who don't want or need a "Rack full of gear", but would rather have things more streamlined. Lonnie Looks like I'm the target audience. I loved the XMC, I was able to hear the benefits of SACD with that. And was unable to with the umc-1. Which would perform better using USB audio? The EPA-1 or EMP-1? Lonnie? |

These model names are getting harder and harder to decipher . I get the first two. EMP-1 - I understand this one...Emersa Multichannel Processor 1 EDA-2 - maybe Emersa class D Amp 2 channel EPA-1 - what does the P & A stand for? Edit: Pre-Amp got it! EPI-1 - what does the P stand for? Edit - got it. DAC is a no brainier:) Just curious... |

Sorry.. I just got all excited. I ordered an amp for Christmas but can't use it yet as I need a pre pro and when I saw the news was getting ahead of myself. was hoping someone released more photos... No worries at all! As noted earlier, watch for news this week and see what you learn. I also advise to not be in too much of a hurry. If you have lived this long w/o a pre/pro and you learn the Emersa is within ~6 weeks or so, why the hurry? Whatever you buy, you want it to last a few years at least...ideally 5+. Emersa looks like it will have a fine pre/pro...could be worth a short wait. Mark |

Anyone know what size these will be? Are they as deep as XMC or shallow like DC-1? Based on the pics I think they are like 17 inches wide and like 14 deep?

Too bad the stereo amp doesn't have Dirac too. That would be an absolute killer feature.

I have a chance to buy a UMC-200 at a pretty good price, but I have been waiting on the Emersa EMP-1... has there been any indication of ship dates yet? Yes, I searched... could not find anything. I don't want this UMC-200 to vanish if the EMP-1 is shipping in 8-10 months, but if it's soon, I may wait.

If I remember correctly, I thought in one of the last two PodCasts, that it was mentioned but I don't remember the time frame. Quickest way to find out would be if you call Emotiva and ask. This is what I've always done if I'm in need of a quick answer, and they're always very nice to me whether they can or can't give me an answer. |
