If calling them was the solution, I would have received a return call a long time ago. In my background, we tell folks like you to stay in their own lane. Advice you should consider. since you are giving out advice, so will I. Repeating over and over the exact same thing won't fix your problems. Given they didn't call you back and you still have questions, how about you call them again and ask whatever questions you have about the unit's operation that are not explained in the manual and that you have not yet figured out. Regarding issues with your unit's operation, you have explanations here from both Dan and Keith that tells you they are still working on issues. So, it doesn't seem to be worth asking about those at this point, and it also doesn't seem worth you commenting again on them as we all know them well thanks to you having already repeated them numerous times without adding anything new. Mark I dont need your advise. You are basically no one to me. I invited you to a one on one discussion but evidently you are more comfortable behind your computor screen. Anything you say is not going to solve Emos problems. Its not even clear if you even own the product being discussed. Dan is the one who made the promise here so it would be logical to ask here since others want the same i formation. I intend to periodically bring it up (maintain visibility) until he comes through. According to others who also have the same concerns, this is typical for emo. Such a shame......A basic tenet of business is under promise and over deliver. Do you mind sending me a copy of the memo that put you in charge of Emos customer relations or made you the spokesperson? I will extend another invitation to trade phone numbers via IM. Isn't it you advocating phone calls? Unlike Emo, if I miss your call, I will call you back.

The other good questions are: is it plugged in and is it powered on? Are you being serious? Do you really think people having firmware update issues don't know to power the unit on and plug it in? I followed the instructions exactly, over and over, wth several different USB sticks to finally get it to take. I think your response comes off as pretty condescending and unhelpful. I would really appreciate those of you bickering back and forth to take if offline or to an IM. It seems to have been suggested. This thread is for MC-700 questions and issues. So if your post does not contribute to the main topic please start another thread or just don't post it at all.

At this point, Jim who doesnt even own an MC700, is just trolling.I have offered 2x to talk to him off line. As of yet he'd rather hide behind the keyboard trolling.
Back on topic. I did a calibration the other day and when it was finished, the volume control didnt work. I turned off the MC700 and that seemed to fix it.
Anyone else experience that?

Do you mind sending me a copy of the memo that put you in charge of Emos customer relations or made you the spokesperson? You gave me advice. I was just returning the favor. And, inputting to you does not make me an Emotiva spokesperson. Lastly, I believe you invited someone else to exchange calls. I don't have a need to talk with you - I've made my point. Please follow up with the other person you invited to chat. Besides, I'm no one (noone/nobody) to you. By the way, consider a spell check once in a while. Mark

If Jim don't own a MC-700 then he is one I want to hear from. Jim has lots of Emotiva stuff and I bet it all works or he would send it back and get something else. Complain all you want but that MC-700 is what it is and you live with it or move on. Crying about it is not going to make it better. Again, do your research and vote with your wallet. It is called free enterprise : 'an economic system in which private business operates in competition and largely free of state control.'

***************************************READ THIS BEFORE POSTING AGAIN****************************************** If you don't have an actual question about or an issue with the MC-700 then please move on. Being civil and respectful is a requirement on the Lounge, and I've now read through the last few pages and this isn't happening. At this point, I won't be asking anymore for members to behave like adults and I'll simply delete your inappropriate post and give you the time off the Lounge that you obviously need to calm down, take a deep breath and begin to respectfully talk to each other as adults again. Again, at this point, I won't be asking for you to follow the Lounge Rules of Etiquette. As for those of you that haven't read or have forgotten the OP's(Lonnie) original post. A pertinent part of it is in BOLD lettering below. While I know other members/owners of the equipment in question can sometimes successfully help you with a problem, if you can not get the help from them, then you need to follow Lonnie's advice and call Emotiva directly. Repetitious postings will be deleted and snide complaints will get you time off of the Lounge. I also apologize to those of you that have asked questions in good standing that had to wade through the recent child-like behavior in the last few pages. Thank you for all members cooperation in this matter. Hello One and all. There were previously two different threads in different sections of the forum for potential issues and or comments, which seemed to be causing some confusion. So I thought it would be best for everyone if we put it all into one location. To that end, I have locked the other threads in hopes that everyone will come to this one from now on. Please note that I didn't delete the threads, so you can still reference back to them. Since our latest code release, it looks as though we have resolved all the listed issues, obviously there are a few special cases that we are still looking into, but the bulk of the previously known issues have been resolved. So it seemed a good time for a fresh start. I know it has been mentioned on a number of occasions, but I will mention it again. Please note that this is not the appropriate place to get help directly from us. This thread is intended for the community to help each other. We try as best we can to monitor the forums, but if you have a specific question or need help from us (Emotiva), please send us an email or call us directly because we may not see your post here.I also think this is a good time to say Thank You to everyone here. If it were not for all of you, we would not be where we are now. Best regards, Lonnie

I just bought a MC-700. I can't wait to check it out. Awesome. It sounds fantastic given the price. Seems to favor good quality HDMI cables. I've had good luck with both BJs and AV Cables. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. Thanks for the reminder about BlueJeans cables. It's been a while - but I remember their build quality being top notch. Wonder if the favoring good HDMI cables has more to do with the higher bandwidth required for HDR and the like. I know that some content has awfully high bandwidth these days.

Cool, what equipment are you replacing with it? A UMC-1. My son uses my umc-200 now. Will be interesting to hear your opinion on similarities and differences.

Cool, what equipment are you replacing with it? A UMC-1. My UMC-1 still works great. I prefer the XMC-1, but the UMC-1 was great once the bugs were worked out. Emotiva really put in a solid effort to make sure it worked in the end. Mark

Save yourself some dough and get these from Monoprice: www.monoprice.com/category?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024021Or get some of both and report back if you find any difference. The premium cables made a big difference for me and I only have 1080p/lower bandwidth sources.

While I know the Emotiva ZHDMI cables are rated "High Speed" rated and not "Premium", they have been passing HDR10 content(full bandwidth) without any problems.

That is all I use now. I still have the first X-Series HDMI cables that are flat and wide but prefer the new ZHDMI cables for there round design. They are solid built cables that will last me for a long time. Good to know they are passing HDR10 for future proof.
