Elsewhere on this forum someone from Emotiva stated the double blades "where already on the water" and would be here by Sept. not my words.

gsandSee this picture from Emofest display: --> LINK TO PIX...CLICK HERE! <-- Call Emotiva to see if you can get an update on arrival timing. At Emofest, they said they were "on the boat" at that point in time, but I don't recall ever seeing news like that before Emofest. I seem to recall a conversation at Emofest w/Dan and Cathy saying that these would be available in what would be about now to end of year, but I can't be sure. Mark

If the blades, which are the amplifier circuitry itself, are made in China, how much of the amp truly is made in America (vs. assembled in America)? Anyone know where the switching power supply is made?
Note, I'm not knocking the G3, just want to understand how much is still made in China like the old XPA lines were (and performed superbly).

I know it's a trivial example, but my favorite Tennis Shoe, the New Balance, has 3 levels of construction. All imported, made overseas with components from overseas as well. These are at 'popular prices'. Built in America with a combination of US and Overseas parts Made in USA kicks in at '70%' value made in USA. so my $$$ NB1540v2 can have some 'foreign' content. They just fit so well on my awful shaped foot. www.newbalance.com/made-in-us-and-uk/

I remember the completely made in USA speaker thread and I don't think they found one - they were all similar to your shoe example. I doubt there's an amp out there that is really 100% USA made; but the percentages (like your 70% shoe) between companies claiming made in US would be interesting to know.

Exactly: You need Neo for magnets? China. Lithium for batteries? Maybe Peru or Chile? Oil to make the plastic parts? Who makes Capacitors? Solen I think is Canadian? That 'American' car you just bought? an Aisen Transmission. Or Japanese made Engine? (like the American made Accord?) At least new cars have a 'content' sticker. Which should be taken to a Lawyer for interpretation. American made 'D' amp? Too bad they use B&O modules from who knows where? Speaker with a Bamboo Enclosure? Not much USA grown bamboo, is their?
