Does anyone know the timeline other and rough cost of the DC-2? I asked this question, and while not locked into an amount at this time, Dan thought a ballpark figure of $699 sounded about right.

I wonder when they will start taking orders! They will most likely start taking preorders when they're on ship, if they're Not Made In America. But thats just a guess on my part.

But thats just a guess on my part. While I didn't specifically ask whether this will be made in Franklin, TN, I got the impression that it will be, but again not sure(definitely a question for Dan or Lonnie). Maybe Mark has this in his EmoFest notes.

My understanding is that the components are made in China but assembly is in Franklin.

At the end of the day, I'll be curious how different is sounds from the DC-1. The added format support will be enough for many to upgrade.

And 5 selectable filters! Will these filters be similar to those on the Big Ego or an entirely different ball game?

And good to hear the DC-2 will have this feature. Makes me assume the XDA-3 will have it too. That's the one I'm waiting for. I just hope they take all our recommendations into consideration. Fingers crossed.

Maybe Mark has this in his EmoFest notes. I've never been so ready to spend money on a dac! It's pathetic! Since this will be my first purchase does Emotiva usually send out emails regarding them? Just want to make sure I'm on the first batch. Do they usually take preorders and have enough supply for the demand?

Just want to make sure I'm on the first batch. Do they usually take preorders and have enough supply for the demand? Watch for the Podcasts...those often are the earliest news. And, they have taken pre-orders in the past on some things, but there's no clear pattern of doing it vs. not. And, if you are on their e-mail list, they do tend to send a note when a new item is shipping. But, listening to the podcasts often gives a better clue as to the final timing. Mark
