There is a software upgrade for the 2.6 version just in case yours still has the 2.5. The upgrade your speaking of is for the Sonore or Roon? Sonore.

Okay Mark, here is a little demo. 1. Click on the We get requests album as if you want to play it, and it will pull up the page I just posted. On that page, click on Oscar Peterson's name (not Oscar Peterson Trio), which appears in blue under the Album title. 2. Clicking on the name will pull up the Oscar Peterson main page in Roon, which looks like this: . 3. Scroll far down this previous page until you come across the listing of "main albums", which should look like the picture below (sometimes, Roon might show you 2 lists of "Main albums", on the same page, especially if you already have some of the artists albums stored on your local drive or in your Roon library. When that happens, scroll down to the second list, which shows albums (in this particular case, Tidal Oscar Peterson albums that I do not have in my library--Roon numbers them at 119, again in my case).: You can scroll these albums in the right hand direction by clicking on the >> button, in order to browse them and make selections to add to your library. You can also click on the "view all main albums" blue tag on the page to pull up the same albums arranged in a different configuration, then scroll right to browse and select.

I see it show up in my "library" but I think that's because I have it ripped on my NAS. If I look to the "tidal albums", it doesn't show up. (When I search for an artist, Roon is showing me ones in my Library and ones in Tidal. And, Tidal and my NAS are the only 2 sources I have Roon looking to right now.) Do you have a version in your person library or can you figure out where it's coming from to show up outside of Tidal? Thanks! Mark It is coming from Tidal, because I do not have it in my local storage. Here's a screen shot of it: View AttachmentIt says "New" in the top left-hand corner of the album, because I just added it to my Roon library from Tidal. Roon won't mark it as "New" if I had it in my local files., OK - I think I may have it figured out. Is Roon's version of Tidal not showing albums I have on my NAS as also being in the "Tidal Albums" list even if I "view all"? That is what it is looking like. Within Roon - I went to Tidal and tried what you said in PM for Oscar. When I clicked on the artist, I was not given the "add to library" option. I was given the "focus on similar" option. So, I couldn't add the album in question to my Tidal library. So, I went to look at Roon's options for U2 and ZZ Top in Roon's Tidal library vs. what I have in my NAS and what my PC version of Tidal has. Roon's Tidal library for each of those bands ONLY shows that albums (and specific versions of it) that I DO NOT have in my NAS. My PC version of Tidal shows all - because it doesn't know what I have on my NAS. Net, Roon is undoing any duplication between Tidal and the full library Roon is looking at. If there is a different version (such as a remaster) that I don't have - Roon does show that in it's Tidal Albums section. But it does not appear to show any duplicates. Sound right? Mark

If you have a NAS, can you check one on yours to see if you find the same thing? Mark

Mark Sounds about right, except that it is not unusual to find duplicates in the Roon listings of Tidal Albums, especially if Tidal has different mastered versions of the same album (FLAC, MQA, etc. etc.) By the way, I forgot to mention the last step in adding albums to your library in Roon. In the previous example, supposing I want to add "Oscar Peterson plays Cole Porter" to my library... i just click on that album in the list of "main albums" and click "Add to library" on the next page that shows up.

Sounds about right, except that it is not unusual to find duplicates in the Roon listings of Tidal Albums, especially if Tidal has different mastered versions of the same album (FLAC, MQA, etc. etc.) Different masterings of albums I had on my NAS did show up. But anything that's exactly the same does not - even though it shows up in Tidal outside of Roon. If that's all the issue is, then that's fine. I was more worried that Roon's Tidal might not have things my PC version did but I didn't have on my NAS. Mark

I just did a Roon search for Edith Piaf because I only have one album of hers "La Vie en Rose" (2004) on my NAS. Roon rightly shows two lists of Main Albums on her page : the first list only has the one I have, and the second one lists the 40 from Tidal, which I do not have: With that said, Tidal has a different version of the same album from 2008, which shows in the list of main albums : So you are right. Roon has an intelligent way of sorting local Albums from Tidal albums.

sahmen thanks for checking that. I am glad that what I stumbled across appears to be a Roon "nice feature" vs. it somehow missing things. This was the #1 concern I was having with Roon. I spent about an hour trying to figure it out today and was about to drive myself nuts until I noticed the "no duplicates" aspect and cross-compared to my PC version of Tidal. That said...darn it, I may have to shell out some $ if my findings keep coming true. Mark

One thing which might differentiate my situation from yours is that I tend to rip my CDs into Apple lossless (ALAC) formatted files. Now since Tidal does not seem to store any of its files in ALAC, Roon tends to pull up the same versions of the albums from Tidal because they are formatted in FLAC, rather than ALAC, as well as those that are formatted in MQA and what not... If the Albums stored on your NAS are Flac-formatted, then you're likely to see fewer Tidal duplicates than I do, as Roon will not pull them up for you.

If there are different versions of the same album they will show up in the "versions" tab in Roon once you click on an album. You can then select the one you want to play or which one you want to be the primary version in your library. For example, if Tidal has an MQA version of an album it most likely also has a non-mqa version you can play. To access the non-mqa version you often have to select it in the versions tab, since the MQA version is default. You can add other versions of an album to your library so that they are visible when you select an artist.

Speaking of MQA, the other thing I did notice was that in Tidal on my PC, there's a tiny little "M" icon that shows for the MQA version. In Roon, I just end up seeing 2 versions in the list of albums and there's no clear identifier that I can see to show which is MQA. But, when I click on each, I can tell as there's into that shows it is MQA or not. (And it was nice to see my Geek show "96K" playing George Benson Breezin' in MQA! Sounded very good.) Mark

See my update re. the Roon negatives in the 1st post (bold red font). Can another Roon user see if they can find Oscar Peterson Trio's "We Get Request" via Roon? DYohn wilburthegoose sahmen or others? Maybe I am just doing something stupid. But, it's really annoying that I can find it on Tidal with my PC and my phone but not on Roon. It makes me wonder what else I might not find. Thanks, Mark Worked for me. The album title is "We Get Requests" (with an 's'). I really suggest you inform the Roon Support team (via their community forum). They respond quickly to this type of thing.

Searched through Roon, hit “Oscar Peterson Trio tab, playing “We Get Requests” in Mqa (tidal). Roon core on iMac pro to Oppo 105 via usb. iPad as remote/controller.
