Just a quick note to all the owner's.
We have been doing regression testing and realized in the latest round of code, DSD has pops and clicks. Please refrain from playing DSD for the moment and we will release a code fix in one to two days.

So, I have dual subs (SVS SB16 ULTRA), am I correct in connecting each to SUB LEFT, SUB RIGHT respectively, then as DUAL MONO in the setup menu? That's how I have it now. KeithL or anyone at EMOTIVA, Can we get the RMC-1 remote registered in the Logitech Harmony Database already? Thanks in advance. Dual subs... it all depends how you want your setup. You can definitely use your current configuration and setup. Nothing wrong with it. Your current setup will send the same signal to both subs. One LFE tone will be sent to each sub and the same time. If you change the DUAL MONO to , then each sub will be treated separate and you can send a tone to one sub, then you can send a tone to the other sub (not at the same time). Most helpful with room correction |

Any experience from the owners on how it handles 4k HDMI? Any banding? Video loss? etc...

Adding devices to the Harmony database isn't handled from our end.... We assume they add new devices either when they notice them or when a customer requests them....
HOWEVER, the button codes for the RMC-1 remote control are identical to those for the XMC-1 remote control - so the Harmony entry for the XMC-1 should work fine. Even most of the extended codes have remained the same.
The ONLY exceptions are: - The "Movie" and "Music" buttons now select other modes (I believe "Direct" and "Stereo"). - The "Surr Trims" buttons now adjust the levels of ALL SURROUNDS (the new name is "Surrounds"). - The "Back Trims" buttons now adjust the levels for ALL HEIGHT SPEAKERS (the new name is "Heights").
(the codes are the same - the buttons just Do slightly different things on the RMC-1 remote)

Newb to emotiva question, how does the volume knob feel ? I hate when super expensive products still have a sloppy plastic feeling knob identical to anything you buy at best buy.

..how is the hdmi 2.0b board performing now its communicating with the new adi chipset ? ... Has anyone popped the top cover and looked inside? I somehow, but perhaps mistakenly so, thought they were using Panasonic chips for HDMI. Does the RMC-1 work with eARC? |

Of course, with the fix for the missing Dirac Live Preset and sound mode issues some others have reported. Yep, and we have added some additional fixes for things that have been reported. The reason we haven't released it is because we are doing our due diligence to make sure we didn't break something else. I don't know if you are familiar with embedded code, but as is often the case. You fix one thing and break another, so we are testing and will release in a day or two. Lonnie |

I guess I can now legally post in here now. I have to wait for it to come up to room temp. Then it's on. I will let you all know if I have issues. And what U think of it. I do have a mic with a cal file. So hopefully I can get that done also. We will see. My laptop and Rew are a mixed bag. Sometimes it works and sometimes it don't.  |

Just received my RMC-1 this morning! Have put it through 4K Blu-ray, DVD, Xbox, Nvidia shield. Everything works as expected. I truly think the audio sounds better. All channels in 7.1 system seem clearer/more dynamic. Only adjustments are balancing all speakers with Radio Shack Sound Pressure Meter. Iām happy and looking forward to Dirac calibration. I just assumed that it supported eArc but I guess that is not the case. However, sounds like there may be a work around. šš.

In your pictures the light ring around the master control knob is most certainly blue. Funny how the other previous picks made it look white. Anyway, blue would look great with a silver knob too!!! š |

Yes men, how DOES your knob feel? I've been asking this question since the prototype reveal and no one has answered it well other than to say it's sort of like BMWs controller. Are there no other men here who like to play with their knobs? Are there no other men here who like the way a good knob feels? š Really, does it feel solid? And my main concern, does it seem like it would be easy to enter some setting mode accidentally while trying to change the volume? (Please, no smart a$$ quips from anyone about what's a volume knob, that's what the remote is for. Many of us actually USE the volume knob on a regular basis so please leave that debate for another poll thread.) |
