Experimenting w/ 4-10 placement. I could keep these here and add two more 4-10s in the position these two were before!

Spiffy-looking grills! Now add some for the subs... Thanks Boom, I rewrapped the Ulf grills but only have one grill for one 4-10 and it's white so needs be rewrapped or dyed. Ya know, if I moved those plants I could place 6 more 4-10s in that area and make a wall of madness. Moving the 4-10s has an incredible effect on the low end. I can't imagine what 32 10" subs might sound like Seriously, the price of adding six more 4-10s comes out less than 2 SVS 16" drivers which I was considering. It's madness I tell ya madness!

Experimenting w/ 4-10 placement. I could keep these here and add two more 4-10s in the position these two were before! The above placement compared to below w/ same crossover frequency @ 80 hz is 3 db higher than below at all 3 main listening positions: Hilarious, my wife shakes her head as the subs rumble the couch. It feels like the actual weight of the woofer cones can be felt in the air. Lov'n it.

Boomzilla , Thanks for enticing me to use the phase dial to dovetail the subwoofers in by ear. After moving my subs back to original position by ear I could determine that subs were indeed near 180 degrees out to mlp. After phasing in the subwoofers my all time high which pegs the db meter at 9 feet away 130+ spl! Note: microphone is distorting at high spl. Update: the SMSL M400 has the option to flip the polarity on XLR while the RCA are unaffected. I did that and returned the phase alignment on the 4-10s back to zero.

You know your EARS are really NOT happy @130db, right? I normally don't listen this loudly during which a glass broke some 20ft away after having vibrated off a shelf. Just letting the thoroughbred horses run free in a sprint when having the house to myself. My ears were in bliss but I suspect I know better than they do.

I think the movie SEABISCUIT would work for you. I think they got an Oscar AND a Satellite Nomination for sound?

Another good movie for bass effects is "Arrival", the chopper scene where the linguist and mathematician are being flown to the alien discovery sight. The bass from the chopper's blade in the below video makes my MLP couch feel like it has bass shakers installed.

The movie 'Apocalypse Now' starts with Helicoptors flying OVER the audience and landing in front. I think at that point, Martin Sheen was passed out in his room...... The effect, which I heard at the Cinedome Theaters (now LONG gone) was jaw-dropping at that time. Some in the audience (veterens, I suspect) DUCKED. www.fromscripttodvd.com/70mm_in_orange_county_cinedome.htmThese theaters were THE BEST at the time and better than most today....which are large closets by comparison. Seabiccuit was nominatd for sound. The Horses HEARTBEAT was recorded ON A HORSE while racing. than mixed BACK into the footage of the title animal racing.....In Slo Mo.... I can't find the clip, but beg or borrow the movie and find THAT scene. Amazing sound. And for a scifi fan? The soundtrack from the Original 'Forbidden Planet'....a totally synthetic score.

And for those keeping score? Forbidden Planet has NEVER BEEN remade or a sequel.
And the name of the Unseen and largely Unknown Krell? Gave their name to a fine amplifier line.

After a 12 week wait the Enzo 2.7's have arrived. I am running them from a TA-100 in my workout room until I get them "broke in". then I will move them to my main system. In a few words: Transparent. Detailed. Visceral.
