Because tweeters make the Rocking World Go Round..........used to be Fat-bottomed girls, then the Rona-19 thing hit......and it all changed........allegedly.

The rug alone stayed in storage for a couple of months while she was adjusting to 8 acousticmac panels being hung on the wall.

Yep, one day you had a room to sit in and then over time, Where did all this “SUFF” come from? LOL love the setup and the room.

My next upgrade won't be in equipment but to the room. I plan to build an extension from the back wall like an amphitheater on the right side which will allow the right channel to be corner loaded as the Left side. After using REW and seeing the difference between the Left and Right side's response I think this room upgrade makes most sense. I'll just have a divider from the ceiling down to the floor extend 4 ft from the back wall just right of the light and ceiling fan switches. I plan to tackle the project myself and drywall and texture the extension to match the house.

Likewise, from running Dirac, I can see the unbalance from the lack of symmetrical reflections. Since I acquired my Tekton speakers, I have set aside any room correction and run my XMC-1 in direct mode. I find the imaging to be more focused in direct mode vs Dirac.

Likewise, from running Dirac, I can see the unbalance from the lack of symmetrical reflections. Since I acquired my Tekton speakers, I have set aside any room correction and run my XMC-1 in direct mode. I find the imaging to be more focused in direct mode vs Dirac. The main benefit the wall extension to corner load the right side will bring is under 120hz. With the recent timing and phase tuning there's no noticeable imbalance in the front sound stage. However, the left side which is corner loaded has much smoother response and 10+db gain over the right side. Seems most rational to me to do the wall extension rather than add more subwoofers. The way I look at it is there's +10db more potential from the right open air channel. This will be a winter project when I'm forced indoors during the cold weather. I'm not using Dirac anymore either but I do use REW and REW designed filters in a Minidsp 2x4HD. Without the recent tuning the phantom center was too tightly focused and didn't extend out to each tower. That's a non issue now Here're the subwoofers [green traces] which show the difference between corner loading and not:

Pretty neat, First time I've taken a peek at the Tekton crossovers. These are just a couple but what's pretty impressive is the way the 15 driver MTM array is wired. Can't imagine keeping track of all wiring variations to each driver during the build:

It's here 😁 www.tekton.design/New site to complement your already FB and Reddit daily browsing for everything Tektonian! I'm hoping this Tekton "social media" site will offer easier systematic categorization of posts for ease of future search queries. Feel free to join anytime!
