So, you buy this processor... but it doesn’t ship with onboard streaming capabilities for, say, AirPlay or built-in support for TIDAL? How does that work? Buy an outboard streaming device of your choice that supports all of your needs and connect it to a digital input...  This. With so many source devices and TVs that have all these capabilities these days it felt odd to spend the engineering time and resources to try and shove all of that into a unit when you already own the capability. |

FWIW the Monoprice HTR-1 which is basically the equivalent of the XMC-2 (although cost $1000 more) does not come with any of these features. They provide a $35 chrome cast for any streaming option. |

Totally agree with this approach I never use the streaming "apps" built into my processors. I find other devices work much better for this. I would rather my processor focuses on sound and video quality then adding streaming. How does the XMC-2 analogue components compare to the RMC-1 and RMC-1l. I know the RMC has the DAC's running all in the mono mode but are there other differences sound quality wise? |

Given the birthing issues one reads about here with the XMC-1... What birthing issues for the XMC-1 are you referring to? I was part of the initial XMC-1 run, and I don't remember any birthing issues. In fact, coming from the UMC-1, it was incredibly stable and easy to use. agreed, worked out of the box without problems and I received one of the first batches to go out. tchaik...... |

So what's the easiest way to get airplay and Spotify on the xmc-2 ? AppleTV. If you're really only looking for audio, grab a used AppleTV for $40 on Facebook Marketplace. There are a ton of 1080p units out there used now that everyone is upgrading to the 4K. |

For all of us that signed up on the waiting list did anyone get an email ?? I remember for the XMC-1 we got an email when it was our turn in line, I signed up months ago but have never received an email, it wasn't a Trade In signup, not a biggie but I do think it is kind of odd like what was the point of the signup list ?
