I have a very simple network configuration. TP-link router with DHCP server + HPE POE switch + TP-link access point. The router address on the network is 192.168.237.1. Tried disabling the dirac module - didn't help. Did you read my second post (right above your last)? Are you using LPS or VOS? Have you tried the App when the unit is on? For me it doesn’t matter which.. Disconnecting the Dirac remote box makes no difference either. I checked that the RMC-1 show ”Not Available” in the Dirac Live setup.

Tried disabling the dirac module - didn't help. Doesn’t TP-link and ASUS share some of the router base code? I think I have read that somewhere.. But still some here has got ASUS routers without issues. This is a really strange issue which probably somehow is about setup. Although I have tried to factory reset my router. Without success. One thing I haven’t tried is.. I have my network setup as following. Modem-> Main router-> One device, two switches and the AP/node. RMC-1 and most other HT devices are connected to one of the switches. What I haven’t tried is putting one or both switches before the router in the chain. To me this would be wrong because then they would be outside of my LAN. What I have tried is connecting RMC-1 alone to the main router and disconnect all other devices. Still wouldn’t work. I have read that if you code the discovery code wrong on Apple devices you could get random answers. There are apparently several ways of getting UDP broadcasts working but not all ways are prefered on Apple devices. Don’t know if there’s anything wrong with the app though, probably not.

In a discussion elsewhere it has been revealed that some of us have been oblivious to a feature in the Emotiva V3 iOS/iPadOS Apps; this was brought to our attention by the steady and knowledgeable insights of our friend geebo . I had previously thought that the physical remote and the EmoApp differed in their Trim functionality, and indeed they do, just not the way I had thought. Rather than go into my lack of understanding I’ll just point out something that some of us may have missed. The Trim section of both the iOS and iPadOS Apps have a Right Arrow “>” that when pressed reveals additional controls, most specifically a “Height” adjustment that I thought wasn’t available and used the Harmony App to adjust, and a “Width” adjustment, which I assume controls the “Center Spread” for Surround mode, but I have not tested it (mine is currently greyed out). Here are some screen shots from both Apps, if you’re like me maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised by “the geebo revelation” (I’ve highlighted the arrow in red.)

I really didn't start using the app until I started using ARC successfully and needed something to take the place of the OSD which the app does nicely. As for "Width" I assumed it was to adjust levels of the Front Width speakers but mine is also greyed so I cannot test.

I have a pair in the wings and amp channels available, but still a little WAF concern where I want to put them. Probably won’t get to try it for a while now. Do you have Wides configured? Hopefully someone who does will test and report.

Just upgraded my phone to a Pixel 7, and the XMC app is not compatible with my phone, i.e. it won't install.☹️

Not sure if this is the right forum, but my remote app on my phone stopped connecting to the XMC-2. I had unrelated internet issues, and ended up getting 2 Eero’s, and somewhere in and around that time the app stopped connected. My Harmony hub still controls everything fine, so I know the processor is connected to the network, and my phone will control the Oppo, so it’s working. There is only one network in the house. The app just won’t won’t connect to the processor. TIA I moved my reply to the Remote thread, there’s discussion of this issue here, but it’s not always an easy fix. The first networking troubleshoot is to turn off the rear switch for at least a minute, you might want to turn off your Dirac Pi box as well (and leave it off until you solve this). You might also check that the address your XMC is receiving seems correct (assuming DHCP).

I’d also check the ribbon cables internally are seated properly…mine was almost falling out - no doubt after shipping bounced it around

Just discovered a use for the Emotiva Remote App that I hadn’t been aware of. Everyone should know that you can use the Remote App for ‘Headless operation’, that is, since the G3P’s OLED display is mirrored to the App, you don’t have to be looking at your TV (or even have the TV on) to go into the Menu / Setup, and view info or edit setup (I sometimes make changes while in bed 😴). Today I was making significant changes to my Inputs and my Harmony battery needed recharging, so I was using the Remote App. Many of my inputs needed to have their names changed, and if you’ve done much of that you know how slow it can be waiting for the letters to scroll through and the OSD to refresh. We’ll, if you use the Emotiva Remote to do your naming, and if you put your ‘readers’ on (the letters are very small), the display on your mobile device (iPad for me), updates instantly. So as fast as you can hit the up or down arrows to change letters, the names will appear. I hadn’t really watched the App while doing this before and it was new to me, it saved a lot of time. Edit: I also use an Apple Pencil that makes tapping very quick. Looks like this …

As has been mentioned here, the official Emotiva App for Android was built for the XMC-1, and only works on specific older phones. Lounge member jpwoodbu is building a remote app for current Emotiva processors and Android phones. It’s been getting a good reception, so if you’re an Android user you might want to learn more about it in the thread below. emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/61042/publish-android-remote-control-app

Thanks for the unofficial app ! I downloaded it and am testing it now. I noticed in the roadmap it asks if anyone has more than one Emotiva processor on their network. I have 4 XMC-1's so multi-unit support is very important to me at least :-). Thanks !

Hi, I am really interested this unoffical app, however, I am now living not in USA nor UK, so I can't get it from play store. When I click your link, it says that it is not valid app for where I live. So... is there any way to get .apk file? It will really appriciated if you can provide me one.

If you can enable your app for here will be nice. In Korea, there is not many people use Emotiva products, only for Emotiva fanatics One quick question, I know that android and iOS is totally different story, do you have any plan to make this app for iOS?

I've enabled South Korea. The app should become available there soon. Regarding iOS, I'd be happy to make an iOS version. The Flutter framework I'm using should make that trivial. The biggest blocker is that I don't have a Mac, and as far as I can tell, you absolutely have to have a Mac to compile for iOS. And then there's the $100/year fee to publish to the Apple App Store. So making an iOS app is probably only in the cards if I can find a way to offset those costs.

You’d also need to do things the current iOS App can’t do, or more intuitively, or better UI, something to make it worth buying. Just got me thinking, will this run under Windows 11? I remember 11 was supposed to do with Android Apps, what macOS (on Apple silicon) can do with iOS and iPadOS Apps, namely host them.
