When I want to watch some early Earthly TV from the 50s or so..... ? I hop in the space ship and travel out about 70 or so Light Years and put up the BIG antenna. Rabbit Ears with each Ear about 40 miles long seems to work...... Signal is a little weak, but nothing a huge Linear Amplifier upside down in a vat of Liquid Nitrogen can't handle..... I have it on good authority that we stopped broadcasting The Lucy Show JUST IN TIME since a vote had been taken to find the source of that crap and ELIMINATE the senders.......Earth Dodged a Bullet.....or maybe an Asteroid the size of Kansas? Let me know when you pick up Lost In Space...😂

We (Earth and its people) have to be CAREFUL about what we broadcast at large into the universe......
It WILL eventually come back to haunt us.
Just think! Gilligans Island! The Lucy Show! Jim Nabors? My Mother The Car? Gimmee a break!
Right now the 'radius' of reception is running right at about 70 light years. So EVERYBODY in that circle
is getting Geritol ads and knows how wonderful the 1955 Chevy really is.....
The first Lost In Space is only a few years behind and THAT may be what tips the balance. Danger! Danger! my ass.....

One of my favourites that I watched when the parents weren't home, You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx. Forget about double entendre Groucho had a million triple entendre. One of Marx's most oft-quoted remarks may have occurred during a 1947 radio episode. Marx was interviewing Charlotte Story, who had borne 20 children. When Marx asked why she had chosen to raise such a large family, Mrs. Story is said to have replied, "I love my husband," to which Marx responded, "I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while." Cheers Gary

Didn't Groucho make some remarks once about Dollars Taxes? (Duck Soup?)

Does anyone remember this line? Book him, Dano. I certainly do as I recently finished watching the box set. All 12 seasons, like 180 episodes. I hear that in my sleep…

Growing up, H50 was one of my favorite shows. The box set was actually quite enjoyable. All said and done, a few observations:
The pilot was pretty dumb. Stupid plot, I’m surprised it turned into a series.
After the pilot, the series was quite good for the time. Good plots, satisfactory acting, great scenery.
Near the last season or two it was obvious ideas were running out and the actors seemed burned out. Dano (James MacArthur) was gone by season 12 and it pretty much sucked after that.
While I’ve never been to Hawaii and I’m sure there are some beautiful areas, Honolulu itself looked incredibly run down and filthy. Probably no different than most big cities but I guess I expected more…

Cheers Gary I loved Groucho Marx, and that show! You nailed it with one of Groucho’s most famous quips about the cigar that was classic!

Off hand, I can think of No Exceptions..... And for sure, Hawaii, IS quite the beauty overall. But I personally can do without Honolulu. I much prefer the amped down style of the North Shore of Kawaii or even Hawi, on the very northern tip of the 'Big Island'...... You need to WALK on Barking Sands to figure out WHY it is called that....

We trained on The Big Island, the dried lava was something to stare at, we went way up on one of the volcanoes to train as well, you look down and see clouds.... The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life was on Wikiki Beach (Oahu), it actually looked unreal...
