If you didn't care for the theatrical version the extended 30 minutes will probably not change your view. It does help fill in some gaps but the original structure still exists. I don't hate the movie but I don't love it either. I'm pretty neutral on it. This edition makes me like it a little more. The issue remains of the story could have been stronger, and the Martha portion ripped from the script. I'm hoping when the Justice League grows legs with the individual DC movies coming out it will intertwine an interesting story. DC is way behind Marvel and needs to up their game. I want both comics to be excellent to keep me interested and entertained.

Viewed this at the theater two days ago. If you like jump-out-of-your-seat thrills and chills horror flicks, this is a must see Excellent character development. Every bit as gripping as the Conjuring movies.

10 Cloverfield Lane The wife and I liked it a lot, especially the performance by John Goodman. I love sci-fi and horror, the wife not to crazy about both but she does like the new Star Trek movies, and our HT.

Really liked Blue Ruin, and this fits right in line.

McCabe and Ms. Miller. My 21 year old daughter is home for a couple of weeks, and she likes to watch movies that I think are cool. I had not watched this in a while, and had forgotten how sad it was. Wonderful Altman though, a good intro to his quirky style.

Just saw the new Star Trek. Don't bother - wait for streaming. I thought it was every bit as good as the first two films. While Krall isn't near as sexy as Khan as a character, the movie itself was pretty much action from the get-go. Personally I enjoyed it and can't wait to see it in my home theater. Saw it last night. Enjoyed it, and I will buy the Blu-ray, but it was certainly not "every bit as good as the first two films."

]I thought it had lousy music score My wife and I both agree. At the very least it was nothing new; very rehash of old. Same here. I found it hard at times just to see what was going on. Agree. Very slow to actually get things going. Unlike the last movie with Kirk saving Spock in the Volcano, which played on the entire the many or the one thing, this opening scene was basically useless. And it wasn't just slow regarding action. Slow parts like that are supposed to help you get to know the characters and set up the plot. This huge long slow section did neither. Agree, just "okay." Totally agree. Rumor has it that in respect to Anton Yelchin, they are going to kill off the Chekov character in this version of Star Trek. My wife and I are hoping she is the replacement.

I thought he was "attempting " to be funny! And I think he did a good job of it. Don't see how you missed it?
